It seems game version 1.18 has been released. Give us about a week or two to test the water (especially since I don't have AUH) and let us know if there are issues introduced with the update

Again please backup the modfiles elsewhere if you'd like to continue playing in previous version

If I have to guess you're having mod conflict because duels don't happen. Duel events can only be triggered when you're past the skirmish phase of battle and you can look in the event file

You can lower your duel rate with this mod and let the others mod doing so (ain't for nothing knight strategy is there in your character tab.)

Kind of unrelated, but should be running this mod wit hother mods that add duels in battles or is it a one or the other type deal?

I've been running this mod without issues, only gripe is it happens a bit too frequently so I can pretty easily murder masses of vassels with a high prowess character, but I am wondering if running this and say, "more single combats" is redundant

Thank you so much for the quick response and candid answer to my inquiries. I really love the mod and enjoy when it pops up during the battles. I will keep messing with my load order and see what will happen. I am really wondering if it has something to do with the Big Battle View mod and maybe some of the others like RICE and Love Marriage Family. I have a few that present option boxes like the duel mod. But if I figure it out I will post it so others that may have the same issue can possibly have some solace through this review. THANK YOU IN A BIG WAY for the response and reply...

The rest are on your end, I'm afraid. Some of your mods are incompatible. CBO is not a Workshop mod and are not responsible for, nor able to observe, how it affects your game

First let me tell you this mod is awesome and should be an actual game function. I'm still playing CK3 1.16 and for some reason the duels when battles happen won't trigger in one play-through and character but will for a different one. Why do you think there is an inconsistency? I'm using Big Battle View with your mod and again no matter how I load the mods I can't get consistent triggers of the duels during battles. One character it works the next it don't. Also I am using Barber Shop and CBO and CFP and my opponents when it does trigger are always topless...any suggestions? I so want to keep using this amazing mod and love the hell out of it but at this time I have tried re-ordering and re-subscribing as was suggested to no avail. I hate not having this mod it is one of my top favorites.

The mod do work with agot but dragon content ain't included (so being a dragon rider is useless with that mod). The mod was designed for singleplayer and ain't compatible for multiplayer due to the structure of event in combat being designed for 1 human only.

Not an issue

Send your knight to fight the bodyguard (it wont end well for your knight) otherwise enjoy the reward of one-shotting the commander for beating the bodyguard yourself

It was what the OG modder (Digosho) intended and we won't change that

Well, it seems there is actually an issue with that secondary duel when you aiming for commander - it almost always end in one strike and text after it describes previous duelist (from first duel) for some reason. Though, aside that you still capture commander as intended after it.

I think it's because fights end just too fast sometimes... But that's probably cause of other mods indeed.

So you're saying that you sometimes dont get to fight the commander after fighting the bodyguard? Thats new

People reported bugged commander duel in the past, but they never even got to fight the bodyguard and its usually because of conflicting mods or broken download

While sometimes you retain your battle gear outside of war, I'm afraid its not a problem for us. You'll change back to default gear later

Oh... So that's why. As for not removing gear it seems to be happening when you trying to get enemy commander during fight - there is double duel to fight it's "bodyguard" first, and sometimes second fight not happens for some reason, which leaves you in combat gear until you duel someone again.

@In'ei Bow isn't used in vanilla duels as well so we have no reason to add it here, and the naked fighting is a vanilla thing between tribal characters

Aside it's missing new bow weapon, there are some issues with clothes in fights sometimes - like both characters appear fighting naked for some reason, or, sometimes they got stuck in their armor even after war and they have no reason to wear it anymore. Worse things can happen during tournaments. Though, those were bugged like hell even without any mods.

Pardon the mod releasing faster than scheduled

Update 1.17 is here. Changelogs:

- Fixed the issue of random generated knights being of wrong culture and faith, now theirs should match the enemy army owner's

- Gaining legend seeds from winning duel against Emperor, Head of Faith, or Genghis Khan should now work

As this update doesn't change or add anything related to combat system it should work with previous version (1.16), just ignore the incompatibility warning. Again, if it bothers you, follow these steps:

1. Go to the mod folder
(Directory: (Steam folder)\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2749369153)

2. Open "battlefield.mod" file (its supposed to be "descriptor.mod") and change 1.16.* to 1.17.* in the supported_version entry

So far no changes needed to be made with the new update

Some stuff still needs testing like the Akom/Akan knights are now replaced with someone whose culture/faith combo are player' or ally leader's instead of enemy's, and players are supposed to get legend seed from defeating an Emperor, Head of Faith, or a Genghis Khan in duel

We also need confirmation on whether weapon artifacts don't get their killcount added, because I checked it myself (extract save file -> search weapon name -> search "artifact_weapon_var" entry and check the number divided by 10000) and either this isn't the case or I might have misunderstood the report

These dev updates suck so bad! It's why I stopped playing Skyrim and why I will probably stop playing CK3. Especially when the devs themselves apologize for the crap the update with! All it does is create chaos for the modding community! Takes days to get your game running the way you want it just to have them come out with another damn update and screw it all up again! Just like this mod which is one of my absolute favorite to use! And now along with 50 other mods I have to wait to get the update from about 50 different modders! I'm sure I'm not alone...just sucks and in no way is it the mod developers fault!

It seems update 1.17 is out. We're gonna give it at least a week to see if there are any adjustments to make (and hopefully to minimize people begging for previous version because apparently 4 days grace period was not enough)

@Coach I actually haven't paid any attention to it since I've been playing on 1.15 version, but I never touched the audio files ever. Could be a case of mod clashes or corrupted download but I'll look into this

Hey there, can i ask, I know for a fact, in the past this awesome mod had an accompanying audio when it comes to battle executions (once you win the duel and decide to kill your opponent).
Those sounds were extremely satisfying. I remember there was a sound for sword executions, axe and hammer maybe. I re-installed the mod now after a long break and unfortunately im not hearing anything now. Has this feature been removed?

I'm having a bit of difficulty to understand how the calculations are made during duel events. Specifically the part when you send one of your knights to deal with an enemy champion trying to intercept you while you try to engage their commander.

Whenever I send a champion to deal with the interceptor even when there is a 15 even 30 prowess advantage not to mention a lot of positive prowess perks to boot the RNG percentages are ALWAYS above 50% wounded (and rest killed) for my knight. Never ever a knight I send has a chance to succeed. I do not know if this is by design or if there is some miscalculation going on but the fact remains that whenever I go after the enemy commander it is GUARANTEED that my knight will either be killed or wounded.

Can you elaborate on this pls.

I need to chime in on some issues that's been discussed in last couple days

On Multiplayer: This mod has never been fully compatible with MP, and any fix is not planned to be made any time. Anyone wants to fix it themselves can start a new session with only this mod active and read the error.logs file

Potentially yes it can but then you need someone willing to do it. Example of concept : Editing so the duel engine check if there AGOT mod then check if the opponent has dragon riding skill and a dragon then disable it so the AGOT dragon system take over.

It would be surprising it wouldn't desync bcs its a 200 mb mod lol. I don't know how it got that big. Even RICE is 1.1 GB, which is like 4x of this

Well if the mod has a problem with it i guess there potentially issue with the pvp system considering duel will pop up in both pc and was designed to have one choose then the AI choose.
I don't think it was designed for MP (i think the duel engine need some cut and someone that can playtest with 2 pc that have both the game while changing the code) In that case i can't.

@Platonov its weird me and my friends have been playing 2 different saves 1 base game 1 game of thrones and desync's go away completely after disabling this but we are all upset cause we love this mod.

Well paradox game is known to desync often anyway unless you play in LAN.
The regular issue is data transmission usually you will see a player way slower than the rest of the herd and that cause desync. (because the laggard send data that is obsolete)

@Platonov what is causing the MP desync problems? if its simple I want to edit it for me and my friends private use in the meantime before you release the next update....I have modding experience with both CK2 and CK3 so I know I can fix whatever the issue is if its not insane.

does anyone else on AGOT mod have issues with using dragon with this mod? I tried everything on Choose Knight Strategy but nothing my dragon events no longer trigger in battle
