Everywhere I go I get "too far out to found a station"

You need to target a faction with stations, or create a shipyard on the point you want it at.

@Resetium thank you, in fact I tried just one of them and yesterday it did not worked but it may be because I tried in a saved game. This morning I tried a new game and the possibility to build gate is in the option. Thanks a lot anyway for your answer :).

Don't enable both, they'll probably overwrite eachother, but the author hasn't marked their mod as incompatible.

Hello, sorry to bother you and thank you for your work. I would like so much to use that kind of mod. I installed it, both of them, Gate founder and Gate Founder - 100 Dis & Cheaper but still nothing is showing. Is it still supposed to work please :) ?

Oh boy, I do love when people comment on a workshop file saying the thing doesnt work, refuse to elaborate as to why it doesn't work, and then leave!
