@Transflux, it's the same sort of notification you get when you read something too hard or fail dismantling. It's just a client side text above the character's head.

Do the notifications actually act as a shout? Or is it just a notification?

I've updated the mod with your changes, edited it to be slightly improved by myself as well, and to handle some more edge cases.

Hey I was bored so I made some improvements to your mod, feel free to take them and use it.
It now adds a little bit of grammar cleanup and it makes the text all under-case so it fits in well with the other bit of the string. Oh it also has a built in function to detect recipes that end in s and wont add an "a" to them. Heres the links:
