For reference to the comment below, in comparison with playing a different mod. There are no rogue manhunters killing my peasants. No garrisons are deleted, even if the keeps are not owned. After owing just 15% of all settlements and only a few wars, lords are already wanting to join my kingdom.

There is a bug with the manhunters (good guys). If you help them, you can sometimes get negative rep. This turns them into enemies and they attack your peasants when you get your own kingdom. Also, the mod constantly deletes all garrison troops left inside towns and castles, unless you own them. Unowned keeps are there to attract lords, but good luck with defending them with zero troops, after the mod has deleted the garrison. After owning 40% of all settlements and many wars later, not one lord came to join my kingdom.
