Yoru really hating when their mod is just too loud. I would love a version of Yoru's mod that's a little toned down so I can hear infected. That's why I love this mod, it's not too loud, but has a dramatic punch that feels good :steamhappy::steamsalty:

there is a second gun sound to the sig assault rifle if you fire it while aiming. Did you replace that one too?
vesper 16 May, 2022 @ 4:22pm
is it possible to split these sounds into their own separate mods?
garratose 14 May, 2022 @ 9:21pm
What gun models are you using
Quinn Morgendorffer 26 Feb, 2022 @ 2:10pm
@Generic noob agree with you

I really like these!
Mecha 25 Jan, 2022 @ 4:51am
What grenade launcher mod are you using?
Rapappa the Pepper 24 Jan, 2022 @ 5:19pm
Sounds very generic, samey, repetitive, simply not the definitive sound effects.
Vespertine 24 Jan, 2022 @ 4:55pm
Too repetitive on some of the guns such as the Deagle. Basically this mod is "Loud booms = good sound design"
Eros 24 Jan, 2022 @ 4:31pm
I'm finding that some of the sounds such as the Silenced SMG and the Autoshotgun are awfully similar to the sounds I used for my pack. By any chance did you take some of the sounds from mine?
Bay 24 Jan, 2022 @ 6:38am
Nice!
NikkMann  [author] 22 Jan, 2022 @ 5:22am
All the weapons are the mw2019 ones by mav, except for the pistol (and dual pistols) and mp5. Those are the mw2019 ones by pygame.d.cthulhu.
For the sound packs, honestly I downloaded like 6 different sound packs, tool what I liked from those, a ton of different individual weapon sound mods or weapon mods that came with sounds, and like I said combined them with some ripped mw2019 sounds.
Eros 21 Jan, 2022 @ 10:57pm
Pretty neat soundpack. Out of curiosity, which sound packs did you take some of the sounds from?
guacamole jones 21 Jan, 2022 @ 9:44pm
A lot of the weapons are from the MW2019 weapon pack, by ThomasCat (i think thats how its spelled)
Osiris 21 Jan, 2022 @ 5:11pm
What is the autoshotgun you use in the video?
Lemmestrokeyoshit25 21 Jan, 2022 @ 4:39pm
@Nikkmann Thanks for the response. I understand the fade out but for sound variety. I mean the fact that the bullet drop sound cant be different BECAUSE you can only have 1 wav file. you can change the pitch and tone all you want but. It will still be that ONE shell eject sound. its just not a good idea to me. But yeah holy shit I never heard of that sound modulation before. Ill fuck with that sometime.
NikkMann  [author] 21 Jan, 2022 @ 3:38pm
@apandahvevo, ah gotcha. I might release a separate mod with just the hd mp5 then for anyone whos savvy about that
Phorbii 21 Jan, 2022 @ 3:36pm
The MP5 sound isn't hard coded, its a consequence of how the sound cache works. If you replace the version in your game files with a higher sample rate version and rebuild the sound caches then 44100 hz replacements will play as intended. However this is an end-user fix, so it can't be automated through a workshop addon.

@bot bill With the m16, and pretty much any other weapon that has a somewhat "abrupt" cutoff to the fade out, I found that because of how fast some of them fire, if you make the sound linger any longer than I made it, the overlap is too much and it becomes a bit of a muddled mess.
As for the sound variety, apparently you can add sound modulation using this method
https://www.reddit.com/r/SourceEngine/comments/ro322t/how_to_change_sound_script_for_left_4_dead_2/
I might give it a shot when I have some free time and if it works, I'll add corresponding files and a tutorial for it for anyone who would want to do it.

Hey sound designer here. I like this audio pack a lot. but is it definitive? I disagree. While it is pretty high quality, it still just doesn't fit the gameplay of l4d2 for me. also you should prob add a fade out to some of the weapons, like the m16. While i think the bullet dropping sound is a cute touch. Seeing how theres no variety in the bullet dropping sound *because of L4D2 one fire wav system*, It can get annoying and hurt your ears quick. But overall I do fuck with the tails and sorta sharpness to the sound. Good work mate!
