Is this mod compatible with Custom Health Bars?

One time the Gutso boss replaced mom, everything worked fine, but it feels a bit weirt that moms getting replaced :o

Also, I'm playing modded on a new savefile. It seems like the game still gives you kill credit for whatever boss Gutso replaces, because I got the unlock for Little Gish from a Gutso fight. Not necessarily a problem like the other bug though

I found a bug, not sure if it's with this mod or a related one. I killed Gutso, and then used Glowing Hourglass to go back to before the fight because I lost a lot of HP. After rewinding, the boss room is empty without a fight, plays the calm music, and there is no exit to the next floor.

are "the whispers" gonna be dropped any time soon?

@Bush's Delicious Baked Beans It's because Splashy's author released an update to fix this conflict a few days ago.

For me at least, the conflict with Splashy is resolved after the 1.7.8 patch. I've encountered Gutso normally with both mods enabled multiple times now. Seems like this one resolved itself.

Dude, the boss conflicts with another mod boss "Splashy", when Gutso loads, it's always replaced by Splashy I have asked Splashy's author, they don't check out the reason, maybe you could also check the files of Gutso.

The mod conflicts with the custom Splashy Downpour mod. Whenever this boss loads, it's replaced by the other boss mod.

bruh the portrait worked but he turned into the mermaid boss from another mod upon spawn. is this fixable or am i forced to choose

I've noticed some error text in the console when he spawns, and he seems to conflict with another stageAPI boss, Splashy. Not sure if that's on you or them, but the error text happens regardless.

@Awestin11 StageAPI isn't the issue, it's one of your hundreds of probably outdated mods incorrectly interacting WITH StageAPI, this is the exact same shit people were saying about Mod Compat Hack when it first started to get promoted. "I installed this and now my mods are lagging and it's your fault". No, dumbass, mod compat hack is actually letting your 300 mods run all of their code and THAT is the problem.

Also for the record mod compat hack isn't even obsolete, it's still needed because when they went to fix what it fixed they missed some

@pk.pseudo Nope, that's Stage API itself causing the crashes. I have somewhere around 120 mods installed, and when I removed Custom Stage API, the crashes go away completely. Even though what the mod does is essential for custom bosses, that isn't an excuse for the game crashes here, there, and everywhere.

@Ey Steve! Same here, very surprised that is still needed. They basically rendered Mod Compatibility Hack obsolete, now we wait for the day where Custom Stage API joins that list.

@pk.pseudo I'm more surprised stageAPI is needed after rep's API improvements tbh.

you guys realize that Stage API is required for custom bosses to be possible (thanks nicilas), and works in repentance right? If you're having trouble with stage api, then its probably because you have hundreds of mods enabled, which is dumb on its own. I don't know where this hate towards Stage API came from since it helps creators actually make mods like this.

Shame I can't even enjoy this until Stage API is fixed
