Thank you so much for this mod. I was trying to learn to change many of the units swords to this because its historically accurate and i always hated those stupid little bronze age swords still being used by even elite units like Noble Germanic Swordsmen and such.

Assembly Kit is necessary for other kinds of modding (3D maps/models etc.). It can't hurt to have both, but you don't need to learn both. BTW did you see my answer under the Balkan Overhaul mod? Let me know if that works.

You will need to download the Pack File Manager. The pack file named "models" contains the relevant parts for unit variety in Attila. The rest is too complicated too explain here, but there are a good number of tutorials and videos explaining how to use the PFM to make various kinds of mods (changing unit variety is easier than most). You can also open and look around in the Barbarian Fixes Mod pack file to get an idea of how it is built.
