are you planning on making a b42 version of this mod?

Is there any way to go into the settings for the mod and change values or something of the sort? I'm about two months into a save when downloading and I'm having a rough time getting any bud, I did manage to get two plants growing but with how many seeds a single plant takes it's taking forever lol

No offence but this just tries to rival Jigga Fires mod, but lacks 75% of the features jigga's has, id suggest looking into how jiggas is written and stealing portions tbh

i found bud, grinded it, but for fucks sake. gram of prepared bud and kief, and i cant even roll a joint or put it in a bong or pipe, or even a baggie

Cool you released the mod! I used to play in flukey's server and was waiting for this to come out! Finally i can use it!

This mod is overall fun and I'd recommend it for anyone trying to smoke in PZ. Thanks for taking the time to listen to suggestions!

thanks for the feedback! jar curing is funny in mp, timers tend to (sometimes) reset on server restarts. so sometimes the jars cure and sometimes they dont in mp which never used to be the case pre 41.

for your curing concerns, I can definitely agree. Time based was supposed to be the only way to cure but because of the above issues I added in the propane curing. jars and lids I have not had issues finding, and the recipe when curing should always give you the jar and the lid back. so your collection of jars and lids should only grow. the propane cost is a valid concern though and i'd be happy to take a look at lowering the cost for it even though its a temporary fix.

if you have any other suggestions on balanced ways to adjust things in the meantime I'd be happy to hear and implement any good solutions. curing is intended to take time so for now this was the best solution I could find although I do agree, it leaves a bit to be desired.

As the mod is currently, farming weed in a high populated MP server is near impossible. Curing needs to be changed. Even if the curing worked, jars + lids are even harder to get than propane. I've found 5 jars, a box, & 2 lids that took me 14 IRL hours over 2 days of looting spots exclusively for jars. Even after all that I can only cure a few plants at a time not a whole farm. It is way too easy to get bottle necked at the curing process. I want to RP a dispensary, but it doesn't make sense to go scavenge for all this rare shit I'll never find so I can grow my own. I could've spent all that time looting bars for more smokable weed without the farming & cure cost/time.

Jars should fit at least 2x more weed in them, maybe 3x. Add another container that fits less than a jar, but isn't 2 rare items. Maybe add a higher tier of curing like a machine. You could even get rid of curing in an object entirely, and just have the weed take a long time to dry on its own.

Playing MP, had a jar half full that successfully cured. Filled 8 jars full, left them stacked for 3+ days irl (I'm pretty sure a month+ passed in game) they were not cured. Testing some stuff with curing in MP, and I'll post if I find anything interesting that could help.

Can you add hemp oil? I'm looking for a renewable oil that I can make a glue making mod from.

@Thraxx make sure you have enough ground up to smoke! Packing or rolling bud takes 3 grams each at the moment. If you're still unable to smoke, make sure you have matches or a lighter!

maybe im just an idiot but im having a hard time finding out how to actually smoke I grinded the buds down and its not letting me put it in a joint or bowl or bong to smoke it

@Hans definitely got a little inspiration from GF, but writing it with my own take as a learner project as the description states. But definitely not a rewrite. Just something I'm passionate enough about to keep my interested as I work on it.

Didnt mean or want to cause an argument...but its true they can still produce cannabis. Just not nearly as potent or plentiful. Regardless of what you may think.

Regardless, please re-read my comment about getting the kinks out in farming before making an entire second plant. Its not so much a logical issue as much as it is that Im still learning. In fact, I even agreed with you that it makes more sense as different plants.

This is the only reason it is how it is at the moment, so you can get the fiber and the product from the same plant until I am able to expand. If you'd like to program a second plant for me and help with the legwork...I'd be happy to list you as a contributor!

@ttastic "cannabis" produced by hemp does not contain near enough cannabinods or THC to be considered cannabis of any kind other than hemp to be used for materials, for it to be considered cannabis and not hemp it has to have over a certain threshold of THC, therefore hemp plants cannot produce cannabis only hemp. i work in the cannabis industry and have for many years i know exactly what im taking about

@Spambox you need to make sure you have enough seeds, I think its between 8-12 to be able to plant one plant. You have to furrow or dig the ground like a regular crop and "hemp" should appear in the planting menu. Let me know if this doesnt work, not sure why it wouldnt as it is on other servers! But if not we can find a solution!

Hemp can and does produce cannabis, just at a much lower percentage. For now, the hemp here can be cured as if it is both. I'd like to get the kinks out in farming before making them two separate plants in game. Appreciate the feedback and hope you are enjoying the mod!

just like to point out hemp does not produce any marijuana hemp is the plant that they use for commercial products (the plant is typically male if female is extremely low in THC) such as rope clothes bags, etc. a female marijuana plant will produce bud that you can cure and smoke, turn into extracts, edibles, etc.

@T.Roy, hemp seeds must be obtained from bud, bud can be found in the following types of loot containers, but at low rates to encourage the growth of the crop. Make sure to cure your bud from plants for seeds or to grind your bud with a grinder for seeds! Scissors to grind will still yield some seeds while grinding with your hands will yields none!

Nice to hear, Lee! Glad to hear that its working for you now! In addition to this, with timing being so spotty in multiplayer, Ill be releasing an update in about a half an hour that allows you to cure your jarred bud with a propane torch in case the timer doesnt work. This will be temporary until I can get the timer issue sorted out for all since it randomly decides to work at the moment!

Make sure your server gets a restart after the update so everyone can play! :)

Thanks for the feedback! Is this in a single player world? If so, give it another extra day or so to change over. If a few more days go by and it remains unchanged let me know!

If in multiplayer I think I know the issue that is causing this. If this is the case I am working with someone on getting it fixed for online play!

After my first harvest of a couple plants, I filled 4 jars to 100% and 2 jars to 75% they both said they will take about 9 days to cure, I put them in a cabinet and came back 9 days later. the 75% jars were ready, however the 100% jars still said they will take 9 days.

You also need to make sure that its not in a baggie and you have the prepared bud in your inventory...enough to smoke. Having that and your bong in your inventory is enough to get the recipe to run. Otherwise, you have a conflict with another mod or you need to re verify the integrity of your files @skoiiiiiich

You need 3 prepared bud, 3 grams to pack a bong. Make sure the bud and bong are in your inventory and then right click the bong and select pack. You can also add 10 kief to it if youd like...its just like real life!

when i right click on a bong theres no option to pack it

Make sure to grind bud into prepared bud with either your hands, scissors, or a grinder. Using scissors or a grinder to prepare bud gives kief and seeds, using your hands does not. Once prepared, smoke using your preferred method of choice!
