This does not work very well... some textures are bad, when you shoot glass the bullet holes are weird, I would not do this, it does more bad than good

I did everything right but when i played on gm_bigcity all the textures were mixed and building textures were broken and mixed any ideas why?

Blurry vision after playing? Waut. While I stopped using most of these mostly because my computer was pouting at me because of it, it looked pretty good on my end.

THESE MODS SUCK! DON'T DOWNLOAD! Some of the addons are okay but most of them make your gameplay hard to enjoy because of headaches, eye strain, and blurry screens. Not to mention giving you blurry vision after playing. And that's just some of the addons. The mods that this guide links makes your game look like ass and fucks up your textures.

Now before you say i must of installed it wrong i didn't because i followed everything this guide says to do even though it is very vague.

Please do yourself a favor and not download these mods. For the sake of your brain and eyes DO NOT DOWNLOAD!

I'm having a issue where the displacement grass would show up weird. Anyone know the file path for it so I can delete it so that Garry's Mod loads the default texture one from CS:S / HL2 content?

Goto your Steam library > Right Click Garry's Mod > Select Properties Tab > Select Launch Options Tab

I went to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod then right clicked "hl2.exe" which is really Garry's mod, but then I cant fin set launch options. What do I do? (Windows 10 pro)

I don't understand what you say to do in step 4. Every time I load the game up, it switches to a different version of DirectX and the resolution settings reset. I am probably doing it wrong so you provide me with a better explanation, perhaps a video tutorial? - Cause I'm stupid


To make GMOD DirectX 9.8 (Helps with quality)
1. Right click Garry's Mod and click Properties
2. Click Set Launch Options
3. Type in -dxlevel 98
4. Now run GMOD with these settings then repeat the following steps but remove the -dxlevel flag from the launch options
5. Now it will stay running on DirectX 9.8

Had to make a small tweak to "bloom" but after the game looked amazing! with or without the addons. 9.8/10

It destroyed Garry's Mod for me.

This made Garry's mod which looks like crap look good thanks.
