@Grandpa Wolfenstein
@Smiley Face Killer

Compatability request for the Susceptible mod received. I will check it out and see what I can do.

if you add in an option in the mod menu to only affect survivors with the susceptible trait from the susceptible mod it will go hand in hand gorgeously and be the most realistic airborn infection mod combo.

Does this work with the susceptible mod? It'd be cool if it could only be passed to other susceptible survivors
SleepyNotDead 17. juni 2022 kl. 6:21
Is this compatible with Survivors 2 in 1?

ANNOUNCEMENT: Thanks to everyone that has been enjoying the Danger Moodles and Danger Zone mods! I know I haven't been around as much as I was when I first put them out. I am working hard an update for my indie game. As soon as I've finished that update I will be back in full swing to fix bugs, dig through feedback for updates, and even to put out some fresh new mods! Thank you, everyone, for all the cool comments and I hope you've been having fun.

@SleepyNotDead - This one should be working fine. The other contagion/disease mods needed to check blood level on clothing and something broke in one of the recent updates. This one just checks for zombie infection and that still works fine.
SleepyNotDead 4. feb. 2022 kl. 14:51
Is this broken like the others?
I really liked this mod.

Oh awesome. Appreciate the answer.

@LND Traeken - Danger Moodles Disease and regular Contagion are broken right now because of an issue with blood checks from a recent update. That one hijacks the old "fake infection" metric from the discontinued "hypochondriac" trait. THIS mod, however, deals with legit zombie infection so if you got a "queasy" moodle then you may be infected. The "runny nose" moodle is cold/flu sickness.

All this mod does is check each player for an active zombie infection, then checks what other players are around that player, and then rolls a check against each nearby player every so often to see if the infected player passes on their infection to the others. If one player has "resilient" they can be infected (without the moodle showing yet) and pass it on to someone who will succumb to infection faster. (like someone without "resilient" or with "prone to illness")

How do we know what each one means? I added this to an already ongoing game and one of my friends got a face as soon as logging on.

Thank you!

@Sir Shmoopy - I don't see why not. This mod just checks a player for infection and if they do have infection active, it checks the surrounding area for other players, checks those other players for protective equipment, then rolls a check against those other players to see if they're susceptible to contagion. It doesn't change or overwrite anything, just makes an active infection contagious. If the player has an infection, with or without a growth rate, they can infect other players. If they are fully "cured" or just don't have one at all then everyone is fine.

Any idea if this would work with the Antibodies mod?

@YepThatsMyName - I haven't written in any compatibilities yet so this just works with Vanilla items like facial bandana, gas mask, medical mask, dust mask, etc. If you want a compatibility patch just let me know what mods you're using and I can write them in pretty easily.
YepThatsMyName 31. dec. 2021 kl. 5:00
Quick question
Is the face covering function like... universal?
If I were to use a gas mask or a mask from another mod (Lets say Authentic Z), would it still reduce the chance of getting sick?
OgreLeg  [ophavsmand] 26. dec. 2021 kl. 9:43
@SleepyNotDead - Awesome, thanks. I'll get it put in as soon as I can.

@SleepyNotDead - Are hazmats vanilla or from another mod? I could put it in but if it's from another mod I would need to know which mod it is.
SleepyNotDead 26. dec. 2021 kl. 3:16
Also, players wearing hazmat suits should have a 100% chance to resist contagion.
SleepyNotDead 26. dec. 2021 kl. 2:36
You should make it so that late stages of zombie infection cause you to cough, making you even more of a danger to the group as now you can accidentally alert zombies to your presence due to noise. Also it would make the airborne infection risk make more sense!

UPDATE:

This mod has been updated to include checking for personal protection equipment such as bandana masks, medical masks, gas masks, etc.

@Franky Dank - I might be able to whip something up.

@CSI48 - lol right? My thoughts exactly.
S#!t Wizard 20. dec. 2021 kl. 7:12
Well this is a game-changer. Gives a new meaning to 'Get outta my base before you kill us all' lol
Franky Dank 20. dec. 2021 kl. 0:19
Ooh this is great, would it be possible to make a version where nearby zombies can infect you too? Maybe with masks & gasmasks providing some protection
