I should've put this in, but you need to build the palace in a city for it to become the capital.

nvm, after about an hour it just made a random city my capital.

love the map. but every civ doesnt get a capital. the starting city does not count as a capital so i essentially cant use roads cuz i wont get the connected city bonus. any fix?

I thought I fixed this issue but maybe I just forgot to upload the changes.
If it still isn't fixed when I update it please let me know where the issue is.

major issue: atolls spawn on top of some sea resources (including luxuries) and make it impossible to improve them. Is there any way you can fix this?

I might consider editing it some time i the future so there are less.

Great idea but so many mountains! spawned in Myanmar and couldn't get out till the 1700's even on Epic game length. The vast majority of the game is gone having only met two out of 8/10 civs.

Yeah, that's really weird, I'm not sure why that's happening. Maybe something to do with starting locations. I'll have to look into it. For now though I guess you could use in-game editor to just delete them lol.
