Interestingly enough, when CW1 was relevant, no one really paid attention to actually make their own weapons.

Sadly CW2 is riddles with half assers who just copy paste the same attachments with just a diffrent weapontexture and sometimes not even a diffrent sound. Some weapon makers actually do quality over quantity and put more than just a sight supressor and a grip....

Hate to break it to you, but this addon is *heavily* outdated from the constant updates from Gmod breaking CW1. That's why Spy moved on to FAS:2 and CW2.

What I mean is that weapons without a rail system (AK-47, AS VAL, etc) sights are fucked up.

No. You can just turn that option off in the options menu for ECW.

This fixes the placing of the attachments. So yes, this will fix your problem.
