Friendly reminder while I am updating Your Headquarters with the tons of Palace of Ice changes.

Characters in a main campaign save (Crown of the Magister) or in a DLC save (such as Lost Valley) cannot enter a Dungeon Maker map, and therefore cannot be prepared or tweaked before the Palace of Ice new campaign.

You can though send any character that is visible in the main menu to a Dungeon Maker map. Since Your Headquarters is designed to be an immersive place to sell loot, buy new gear and craft between Dungeon Maker adventures, it does not offer free magical items (what is free are level 1 recipes, non-magical armor and weapons, tools).

Currently updating both versions (non-DLC and DLC) :
I will do all I can today, but it is a lot of work as there a great number of new items/recipes added to the Dungeon Maker in the new update!

Also, almost all items have been unlocked or unrestricted to DLC ! So I will have to add those to the non-DLC version of Your Headquarters.
Except for Palace of Ice items which still require that DLC.

@Thaladar : the first line here explains that there is a version for the DLCs. The other version has mosly Lost Valley DLC items, but also some stuff from the Inter Strength DLC.

Making the exits 6 tiles would be a mod as such, especially as 6 characters might need Updating, and is not required for the purpose here. I understand it is more tedious, but you will have to Update the gear of 1-4 characters at a time.

This is a great idea. Two requests: 1) Can you update for Inner Strength and add items for Bards, Warlocks and Monks? and 2) Can you make the exit box 6 squares so if playing with 5-6 players via Unfinished Business mod, we can exit smoothly? Thanks.

@Nox Oculis : I verified and tested some more today. The *other* version should only require the Lost Valley DLC (if you want items from that DLC added to your headquarters). For example, I do not have the Inner Strength DLC at the moment, so I cannot add any items from that DLC by accident.

But I removed two items today that required the Backer DLC, so I suspect that may be the cause of the issue you had with the other version.

@Nox Oculis : with the Headquarters "Dungeon Maker campaign", you indeed do not need to save nor reload anything. It is the characters as such that are updated on Exit, and that you can then use to enter a new adventure.

Hi, I didn't understand
just leave the area and validate
temporary game save requires dlc to reload

I just needed Manacalon Rosary
, which my mage does not have in the inventory

I found a logical solution though !
* Simply go in the headquarters "campaign" 4 at a time and Update your characters (after, go in again with the two other characters). When your 6 characters have the update you want, then start a real campaign with your 6 party mod.

I do not think I can modify the Dungeon Maker system for this "headquarters/crafting" map without causing bugs for everyone.
Does a party of six ever show the Update buttons at the end of a DM or campaign?
This is therefore something that only mod authors can *maybe* fix.

Update character button on exit does not show. Using CC patch most recent version. 6 character party is enabled. Could be the reason, why it doesn't register the button?

Nice, but the one thing I went in to try & get you didn't have: I stupidly accidentally sold off one of my basic backpacks (x1.2 CC) just before exporting out of my last dungeon. And now my cleric can't carry even her basic gear. So for idiots like me, you could add one or two of those in with the other pile of free basic gear. I ended up buying another Haversack, so it's fine, but that's 800gp I had other plans for :-)

a) Exit/update screen :
- I have never heard of this before. By all accounts, it works. Rechecked.
- If the button says Pregen, that is something related to Solasta. I will presume that is not your issue as you would have said so.
- Just before the blue exit, a black screen has a message reminding players to click the update button. I presume that is not the issue, but I will tweak it a bit today nonetheless.

b) The Spider Queen Blood is indeed missing : I am in the process of adding to both versions. Should be added today. Thank you for the info.

Grabbed an elven cloak and lightbringer bow for my ranger, hit the blue exit, it never gave any option to update the characters at all, I'll just go find another gear campaign that works, these were fresh level 1 character btw

The merchant is missing spider queen venom to craft the black viper rapier, you can still buy the weapon already made but it's way more expensive at 3400gold, also you're missing the recipe for the bears claw

@drachenfeles Tactical Adventures says the bug should be fixed. Can you tell me if, without DLCs, you still get an error loading this 2021 Dungeon Maker?

( I think they meant in the last public patch, but maybe they mean in the new patch that will be released soon [think the beta version is accessible though].)

I think I found the answer : the beta patch (soon to be released) reads:
"Dungeon Maker: Removed the "Lost Valley" restriction on a couple of assets that were already available before the launch of the DLC, which made some existing custom dungeons impossible to edit without buying Lost Valley."

It should therefore be fixed soon.

@drachenfeles : Two logical theories :
1) Maybe using the new classes can cause an issue ? That is one thing I have not tested yet.
2) The error message could be unrelated to this DM "campaign".
3) I tested with the free update ; maybe Dungeon Maker maps note paid DLC even though they are not needed.

This DM was made before the new patch/DLC and was not modified yesterday. So it logically the DM as such does not request the DLC (everything is possible though; maybe DM file list DLC oddly).

After the free update, it worked fine for me both in Start an adventure and in editing mode.

AUTHOR NOTE :
I tested to make sure this "campaign" works with the free Lost Valley update (April 2022).
The paid DLC is *not* required.

I plan to improve the dialogues/info and add the new items to merchants later, when more people have installed the free Lost Valley update. Changing it too soon would cause issues for players using the pre-patch version.

@Lockindal : you are correct, there is a bug/issue where the bed cannot be used if it has only one access (out of the 4 around it). Did not notice the problem: thank you. Fixing it now...

@Lockindal : there are 4 beds upstairs, one of which is an interactable Long Rest one. This is important of course, as one of the options is to be able to craft for example. I will re-check, but by design, from the start, one bed is to Long Rest.

This is a great concept and would be a bit more useful (to make sure you had the correct spells prepared) if the bed in the upper left was actually interactable so we could sleep in it. Would you mind fixing that when you have a chance please? :)

@FrostPaw : I tripled checked. The shelves beside the Loremaster is a container, but it is hard to see as a) just beside an interactable merchant and b) it is not highlighted. In my defense, there is a dialogue line about stuff on the shelves. :P

@FrostPaw : there are 3 containers with kits.
- One right beside the Loremaster (maybe so close people might not see it)
- A chest upstairs
- The desk (scribing only).

Logically, it should be right beside Loremaster Maddy. From memory... Otherwise, it is a mistake on my part.

@Serptico : Each player campaign (Dungeon Maker) has an end-point or Ending Exit, and that is only when you can "Update" your characters. That way, in the main menu, your characters have all their progress and loot and can start a new DM campaign. BUT you cannot stop in the middle of a DM campaign (saved game), jump into another space, and come back.

For campaigns where my party did not have Identify, I installed a mod that identifies all items. It is called Identify All Items: https://www.nexusmods.com/solastacrownofthemagister/mods/91

I have some healing potions that are not identified, can i just go to headquarters and identify them and return to a user campaign I was on? So that I can use the potions?

It is not accessible via the main campaign of the game.

It is accessible as a "New Adventure" (which are actually Dungeon Maker campaigns or dungeons). You appear directly inside the headquarter, can manage your gear, and the exit shows a final screen where you can (need to) click the button shown to Update your characters.

You can use it before a "New Adventure"/dungeon (it might also work *before* the main campaign), but will have no effect on your gear in the middle of an adventure. After a "New Adventure"/dungeon, you can also use it to sell your loot, etc.
