anyone know how to get this working on a hosted dedicated server? I have it working when i play/host locally but with a dedicated server its not working, i have everything set up exactly the same for both.(using a hosting service)

Comrade, the situation is that your mod has an error with the animation of a clown. The console gives an error that it cannot create an animation. YES, I KNOW THAT YOUR MOD REPLACES THE SQUAT, BUT THE JOKE IS THAT HE DIDN'T YELL AT THIS SHIT BEFORE.

Why isn't this a vanilla game talent for the crew? Call it Leg Day or Radio Taiso. New crouching still isn't low enough to be very useful for staggered fire, especially when moving. The amount of undesired friendly casualties is often higher than could be expected for a trained crew.

why are you still using this mod though ? You can crouch lower than before now and someone can shoot over your head without this mod.

So, I am not sure if this mod will receive any love anymore
but, I will still write this here.
Currently (for me) this mod can't find animations such as 'vomit', 'drunkrun' and ('divingsuitrun' <-- or similar). This causes the debug to open and it does it constantly making it hard to play.
I have not been able to found a work around.

haven't tested it. it worked before 1.0, but with one little bug. for some reason both male and female characters used male body model (with female textures incase of female character),
i can make a wild guess and say that nothing should change in 1.0. i doubt they made changes to character files.

i don't think you need this mod right now because devs implemented some of it's features in base game. crouch walking still sucks though.

A great mod in theory, but unfortunately as soon as a compartment even remotely floods then crouching is redundant. what we need is some kind of magnetic boots for boarding / repair teams to be able to stand / crouch on the floor when a room is flooded

vanilla crouching moves the head up a bit when you start moving, with this mod you stay at the same height and kinda just waddle

Vanilla crouching isn't quite like this mod. Personally, I require it for the tunnels I build in my subs, you can't get through them otherwise

I don't think this is needed anymore. Characters crouch just like this in vanilla now.

I don’t know if I have mods that could interfere, but I did try removing all mods except for crouch harder. I even let steam check for errors but that did not fix the problem. Without the mod the female characters look female. With the mod they look male.

Crouching became way more practical with this mod. Accidentally shooting in the head of my friends is not a thing anymore but for some odd reason the female body is no longer female… They are male bodies with female heads. It just looks weird. My friends see the same thing but they are not complaining but it bugs me. I tried to look into the mod files myself and replaced “Human_male.png” in the first line of the document “HumanDefaultRagdoll” with “Human_[GENDER].png” and “Human_female.png”. None of them worked. Could you look into this?

i'm not playing baro now so i can't tell you. but it should be. unless they do something big with character xml files wich they didn't.

Прекрасный мод, но к сожалению уже не актуален(на момент выхода обновления rising tide) т.к. разработчики баротравмы сделали это сами. Спасибо большое автору этого мода за более тактикульные перестрелки)) :steamthumbsup:

yes, i tried the unstable build. i was hoping they would completely copy my animation variables with minimal edits to improve quality. but they completely abandoned the crouch walking animation and the character's body does not lean forward while crouching. i got the impression that they did not look at this mod at all, but simply changed the variables based on the screenshot that they were shown. obviously, there was no walking animation in the screenshot. but, anyway, I'm glad that we were able to give the developers an idea that they agree with and that was implemented into the game. it's a big deal, guys.

this mod is pretty easy to maintain and update so i in fact had plans on keeping it up to date with upcoming patches. but if you want to, i can pass this one to you, it's not a big deal for me.

@IsthisDarkSouls Is this mod being actively updated, and will it continue to be updated past the upcoming crouch update? I like it a lot and plan to continue using it, I have a couple patches for it on my Workshop page and if you don't plan to continue doing it, I'd be happy to take over on keeping it up to date.

If you are using Crouch with medicine fix, i'll advise you to unsub from it and use new fix instead (check mod description).

It's also why a number of other games, like Rimworld for example, run into this problem. The game doesn't use the workshop folder as it's mod folder, rather as a depository to get it's mods.

I think I figured out the issue, it seems to be a problem with the way Barotrauma does mods. When you subscribe to a mod it goes and puts it in the normal workshop folder, however Barotrauma then extracts the files to a Mods folder in Barotrauma itself. So when the workshop item updates, it updates the steam workshop folder, and when you launch Barotrauma it goes and checks what is in the workshop folder and just says oh, I already have a folder for that, no need to check it. You have to actually go delete the stuff in the Mods folder to fix it.
