I likely will not be updating this mod ever and leaving this on 3.5 forever. If you want an up to date version from 3.6 onwards using the new traditions method of ascension I recommend this mod: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2909582424

For those who are eager to have multiple ascension paths in 3.6. It is feasible to bypass the entry requirements of different ascension paths from the console. So basicly everything the mod would do is manually doable. (it's just not that nice)

For example, completing the psionic ascension path ingame then adding the biological ascension path's requirements manually like this works like charm:
- Engineered Evolution ascension perk ("activate_ascension_perk ap_engineered_evolution")
- Genetic tradition tree adoption (activate_tradition tr_genetics_adopt)

Once you complete the said tradition for the required number of unity, you can build your psi-biological super race. Same goes for the other combinations. Use the console's predictive input (TAB) to see different ID-s you may require.

Btw, I hope Lucasif will update the mod. :)

Yeah I don't anticipate this working for a hot minute. I will eventually try to get this working but right at this current moment it's not likely to work.

had tried it out during the 3.6 beta period and it doesnt look like it was working. couldnt take multiple of the perks.

but 3.6 did change the perks up a bit so not surprising lol

Thank you hopefully there are no issues. Never understood why you can't do 2, or an amalgamation of two to a certain extent.

Anyways all I want is to be somewhat genetically engineer psionics.

AI do use it iirc, it's just the way that vanilla AI priorities work that they only ever really pick one of them due to how the priorities are calculated.

@M16 You'll need a different mod for that, since Lucasif had said he wants to keep this mod as simple as possible.

@M16 I have no plans to change the behaviour of traits because I want this mod to be a lightweight mod that only touches these specific perks. @Killagenius NPCs will use whichever ascension perks they would have beforehand, this mod won't change a lot of how AI behave.

soo, its a vanilla thing, but having cyborg or psionic traits cancels out the effect of erudite, would it be possible to override it?

Tested it, when combined with this mod they allow you to genetically modify clone army pops and add psionic.

Thus making brainslugged psionic/erudites clone Admirals.

AND

Genetically optimize a secondary species with Erudite and psionic.

Well I thought the same thing about machines but it turns out I was wrong so I figured why not just allow it all. If people have mods that maybe add something it might be useful and won't ever really be harmful.

It's not showing up for me as a player. Tested all 4 Machine types with new games, and they're not showing up in any of them :/

Maybe the 3 Ascension paths are in conflict with Synthetic Age?

(The only other mod that does anything to Perks I have is Giga)

Alright just made it so you can as a machine empire and (should) have made it so that the AI won't take the ascension paths. Let me know if there's any issues with AI and any of the ascension perks, machine included.

Nah, it's great. It's more of how the base game works to deal with multiple assimilation methods as opposed to what your Mod did (which is simply removing the restriction/exclusiveness of the paths). This is exactly what I've been looking for :)

I just did a quick test on a saved game (where I didn't take any of the 3 paths on a normal empire), and did all 3 paths... And you're right :/
Once I've done Synth, I've lost the ability to simply do Transcendent Awakening even if I manually switched to that. My guess is that it'd be the same with Identity Sublimation. What a shame :/

It's a super simple mod so if you go full synthetic you won't be able to genetically modify anything anymore because you won't be a biological species. I'm not sure how it works with Gesalts.

Basically the furthest you can go with this is both Biological ascensions, both Psionic Ascensions, and then the first ascension perk to make you a cyborg. The instant you go synthetic you'll lose access to all biological perks.

Quick question: how does this mod deal with different assimilation methods of Synth/Cyborg, Psionic, and Gestalts? I just got this the other day, but I haven't done a clean run with it enabled, but I was wondering how it'd work.

I have encountered a small problem though while doing a hive mind playthrough: It is impossible to get the psionic theory and droid tech required for the ascension perks. Could you please add some event or edict or similar mechanic to add those to your researchable techs?

It's a really GREAT origin overall, especially since you can skip one of the ascension perks if your going bio/psionic combo.

Found a small issue. A teeny tiny issue that isn't stopping me from running it.

With the origin: Teachers of the Shroud.


Vanilla
1. Prevents you from taking Biological ascension
2. Prevents you from taking Sythetic ascension
3. allows you to skip Mind over matter and go straight to transcendence. (once you research psionic theory)


Your mod
1. Allows taking the biological ascension
2. Allows taking the synthetic ascension
3. Does not allow you to skip mind over matter straight to transcendence.

Yes, but only the first branch, so they can max out 1 of the ascension paths but can only pick the first of the others, and because of AI weight it's unlikely that an AI will even want to pick all three paths.

Is there a mod that makes leaders able to take traits from multiple ascension perks? For example, if I go bio ascension first and then psionic ascension, the new leaders will only have the psionic traits.

It seems like you have another mod that has changed evolutionary mastery because it's working fine for me.
