I guess that since this hasn't been updated yet it doesn't support your new [WOTC] ADVENT Diversity Initiative (Version 1) mod yet?

Or does it have a way of staying compatible even when it hasn't been updated?

"For now, all Recruitment projects give normal Viper Soldiers, but in future, I plan on making some of them their respective captive template " I caught a valintines viper and it turned into a normal one upon recruitment yeah I would love to have modded enemys in my squad.

do you need to have the allies unknown / turn viper soldier into your own units part of the mod ?
I have LWOTC and the original interrogation and recruitment; just thinking about these add-ons to expand the unit options but I'm unsure if things will break if I don't also have the playable aliens which I don't want

Hello! I have some bug, but i don't know how to fix this (start new game don't help and DON"T loading new mods!!!!). So when i try to equip a ViperWeapons MAW the info in discryption on right side tell me: DEBUG: @DESIGN Missing TacticalText in "ViperPoisonSpit" template... How can i fix that???

To add onto Danger Dude's comment/suggestion. unsub then resub from both this addon AND the Main mod. to make sure the main files have updated. steam workshop isn't always the greatest and making sure something updates saddly.

Have you made sure the main mod has been updated? Steam might of not updated it automatically, causing the error cause the class this mod is calling doesn't exist on the mod's previous version.

with viper addon enabled i got ctd on start, and there wasnt anything like that before update. once i disable addon, game starts just fine :|

Can you really recruit an armored psy viper?
When i did try the basic stuff against them , i did discover that they cannot be stun outside of stase (riot ammo doesn't work) and they are fully immune to any psy effect ability including mind control and panic.
I didn't try to bind them with normal viper so maybe that work?

is the allies unknown actually required? I like all the interrogation options, but dont care about snake allies.

I made a mod, reverse engineered on the Playable Aliens Mod, which only add's the original ADVENT units to your barracks on each load. Captain, Trooper, Purifier, Priest, Lancer, Shieldbearer, Avatar are all playable.

Downside, I never figured out how to make a proving grounds project to make them "buildable" in a controllable way instead of them stuffing up your barracks on each load. Also they need proper classes.

These will only give you the Vipers from Allies Unknown, correct? You can just get them from multiple sources rather than just the vanilla Vipers.

Are regular ADVENT forces planned? Not like Xcom soldiers with Advent armors from another mod, but like the *true* versions, which the AI uses.

You can't Recruit an interrogated unit, no. It's either you attempt to recruit them (Which you can do multiple times until it succeeds), interrogate them (which removes them from the brig), or sell them (Pretty self explanatory).

But in terms of recruiting them via Allies Unknown, You can configure that within AUR:V itself if you wan't to remove that option entirely.
