I read in a previous comment you didn't want to add sandbox options because of concerns of current playthoughs, could you maybe consider adding a new branch for MP?

For our previous MP playthough I had to explain to every player to set their settings manually, its not very MP friendly for everyone to be playing with different rules.

At this point, between interfering with other mods and not being updated in over a year, I think it's best to consider this mod abandoned.

Which is a shame, because I REALLY liked this mod and what it brought to a swords/axes playthrough of Zomboid, but without proper maintenance/fixing/consolidating of utils, it's just floating like driftwood, lost and forgotten.

Glove protection doesn't work - Line 79 in ESYB_SharpenTimedAction.lua tries to index the handInjuryGlovesModifiers table with an InventoryItem when it should use a string

You can get close with `wornGloves:getModule() .. "." .. wornGloves:getClothingItemName()`, though you'd also have to check for the existence of wornGloves

Some way to add modifiers for modded gloves would be nice, or at least calculate some percentage based off their scratch resistance.

Can you make this compatible with the Prowess/Psychopath traits from the More Traits mod? Those buffs being completely removed by the sharpness mechanic kinda sucks.

I've been getting an incrementing error code with this mod. Not sure what the cause is but happens even if it's the only thing in the modlist.

Installing this mod mid playthrough or removing it is a bad idea. Installing will randomize condition of all weapons in your world and removing it will make bladed weapons have almost random damage because although they no longer have sharpness, the damae multiplier stays

I would like to suggest that above 60% sharpness, weapons deal more than vanilla in terms of damage, from 40-60 they'd deal vanilla and from 20-40 sub vanilla, with 0-20 sharpness having damaging events, with a big penalty on 0 ofc. Blades should probably also lose sharpness slower in general. Even with the most forgiving settings, the weapons are extremely fragile to the point where people just choose any blunt weapon over bladed ones, because their operating range and maintenance windows are too inhibiting.

It would also be nice to have a high level reconditioning ability, to restore a blade if you have started to like it, rather than just having to inevitably discard it.

hey, it seams that when your mod activated with Tactical Sheaths mod (that mod also adds katana sheath, that work as a slot for katana) it is impossible to put katana in that slot, and as that mod also prevent wearing katanas on back, it becomes not that good cituation, where you cant put your katana in any slot.

so just wondering, if you are interested in fixing this bug?

@Forest Witch Reyna You can't set a min condition, but you can set in Options likelyhood of finding a good condition one.

Is there anyway to set a minimum condition for when it applies the sharpened stats when you first equip a weapon? Basically sometimes when i equip a stone axe, or stone knife or something for the first time it randomly sets the durability along with the sharpness, but sometimes it will set the condition to be really low. Like I literally just had a stone axe that defaulted to minimum condition and low sharpness and it broke when I tried to sharpen it. I straight up didn't even get to use the axe.

i think i found a bug when i attach a knife to a spear and remove it when the spear is broken i get a broken knife when i then move the broken knife in a nother inv it is fixed and i can use it again

If it might be possible to toggle the player quips during sharpening -- or at least get them to stop mentioning wearing better protection when already wearing gloves sharpening -- it would be an appreciated tweak.

@Toto Cotunio Ok, I see. I'll have a look. Before posting the previous answer I briefly looked into a code and there was that the gloves reduced probability to zero. Must be a bug indeed.

@Eggon leather gloves NOT reducing likelihood of cutting to zero, get this few times, thats why I am asking. Logically it should help, but on practice I still had cuttings. It happens at 2-3 maintenance skill. Now I have 6 maint, gloves and 100% chance to razor sharp and still can get cutting somehow.

@Toto Cotunio Gloves reduce the likelihood of cutting, leather gloves reduce to zero, others by lesser amount. Thanks, I didn't know. IDK why they disappeared from steam.

Hello, can you please expain how to avoid injury/cutting while sharpening? Gloves doesn't help.

@PsychaChi They should not if done in simple manner and I am not aware of any such conflicts. It would be theoretically possible though if someone did something 'unobvious'.

@Kafkatrap I understand that it would be better for MP if options was in sandbox settings. That said for SP it is better in Options, because you can adjust it freely and you might want to fine tune the settings gradually. I'm afraid I will not change it, because such change would break any modified settings for already started games and that could be really bad user experience for people... :/

@Eggon i second @ISOREX request to move the settings from the ESC menu to the server settings menu thingy, would be very very handy if that was possible.

I mean your mods are great, but i think some people are weary of using them since the options for the mods can be so easily accessible. I only play with friends so i don't think anyone would (or could? Idunno) go in and change the mod settings all willy nilly.

I mean, if you have the time/energy/willpower a "Multiplayer bundle" or something with all your mods would be amazing. Y'know the ones I'm talking about, a big mother mod containing the different mods where you can enable/disable whichever parts you want.

@Eggon -- Hey o/ Still loving the crap out of the mod :D

I just found a very rare weapon in the game that comes from the "More Traits" mod called "Obsidian Blade", it's a dagger apparently. It does not seem to be affected by the mod. Sadly the dummy that I am should have just spawned a few of the other weapons from it just to check if they too were unaffected, but didn't occur to me until this very moment >_> I'll check later if you need me to!

@ISOREX You can change speed of sharpness loss in Options. It is a local setting unfortunatelly, not a server one.
