Any chance we will get it's replacment, the new LA convention center?. Just curious. That is something the workshop just dose not have, a decent modern convention center asset.

Even if you just made the west hall, being easier as that is just a box, no curved facade. that would be awesome. Maybe even remove the plaza/ loading floor so it was just the building itself.

Just a thought. But like I said, This is awesome. Thanks a ton for your contribution to the community!

Oh, I also didn't know it was green. I think most of the pics I had seen of it were in black and white, so that tells you that it has some history, right?

This building was also in a number of music videos, and maybe album pictures too. I somehow remember seeing it in? on? a Cars album, maybe in the liner notes. Devo too. More info available on wikipedia.

This is awesome. I grew up in LA and remember when it caught fire. Thank you for recreating this piece of LA's architectural history. There is a cheesy movie from the early. 80's starring Olivia Newton John and Gene Kelly called Xanadu that has the Pan Pacific in it.

I have made attempts to model this building for, literally, decades. My first attempt was in the late 1990's. I've tried it in Infini-D, Blender, Sketchup...I think you get the idea. I am not a 3D wiz, but I've always hoped I could pull it off. And I have often searched here in the workshop, hoping someone would take on the task. THANK YOU for stepping up, doing the research, and getting it done!!!!!!
