i'm not sure if its your mod or not, i had this with other mods too.
but once your mods weapons are equiped i am unable to draft my pawns.. the mod itself doesn't really show errors so i am unsure whats causing this

@HentaiHamster do you maybe have an oversized colonist? for example the big roboters from android tiers? that could cause the problem

i removed holster mod and even enabled oversized weapons and they're still big. it's aight though...i'll just role play about them being compact lol.

The only one I see needing a tweak would be the nail gun to put it closer to the Vanilla Expanded tools like the Hammer and Wrench as it has a fairly hefty bonus though it is not a very good weapon. Especially as its possible to dual wield tools with mods or with grab your tool your pawns can swap to the best tool weapon as they do tasks around your base switching between things like this. maybe 15-18% construction speed to beat out the cruder hammer.

The compacts are really nice early game and for specialists, I use dual wield and keep carbines and short weapons set to be used with shields making them effective front line troops. Big one is they are also lots of low damage shots. Which means quicker skill growth for second line as well as using them to disable rather than kill. Usually they pepper a target like in a prison break and down them without much permanent damage. An ambush with dual pistols or SMG's tends to drop most pirates or tribals quickly where even a higher damage weapon would take a few volleys or longer to aim in.

Hi, thanks for the comment! I really try to make them balanced, and I'm glad they are for you.

About the research tabs... I actually want them to be seperate from the vanilla tab, so they can stand out a bit more. I considered advanced weapons as an earlier, cheaper and more robust alternative to the pulse charge weaponry. But again, they are in a great spot of balance it seems.

I'll fix the prerequisites of certain research projects as you asked.
I have also made several more weapons (a blunderbuss included), but haven't been updating it for a while. Also thinking of switching to Enable Oversized Weapons, a far better alternative to weapon size alteration.

A small but extremely good weapon mod, unlike many others that add poorly balanced or duplicates of base games weapons these really shine. The advanced rifle and pistol in particular. They don't have the punch of a charge rifle, nor the range of a Marksman or Battle Rifle but they have a comfortable spot as an alternate to either weapon by having a lower damage weapon that has decent range and armor pen. The breaching shotgun is a concept that really shines in the new update, allowing you to help bypass barriers especially during mech clusters real 10 out of 10 perfect niche stuff.

The only issue I have is that it adds yet another research tab, The tactical weapons would be fine under Precision Rifling and the Advanced weapons under Uranium Slug tech would give more of a reason to research that. Early game the Silent pistol makes for a very nice easy hunting weapon, that also helps train up shooting but its the only item on its research making it hard to justify researching.

@Datboi, there is a mod out there for you, specifically Steamworld with RWP, if Miathea doesnt mind me mentioning that, and this mod seems to be working perfectly fine in conjunction. Something i was looking for specifically, real crisp models as well!

I mean, advanced and compact rifle are both real guns so it's just a coincidence
