Modifiers, as with normal weapons, are only increased values outside the normal range. Since you can set all values yourself with this mod, it is not necessary to make modifiers selectable.
The weapons are saved in JSON format in a text file. Each weapon in a new line:
Windows: %AppData%/Avorion/moddata/customturretbuilder.txt
Linux: ~/.avorion/moddata/customturretbuilder.txt
Exactly. But if you have a creative moment, you could create weapons that the game doesn't offer. That's fun again.
But I made a Big Mistake using it in a local game...
All the fun of farming a good turret is gone...
AND you have to check the box before loading your save at the top right corner where your galaxy data is displayed. Something like "override galaxy mods"
Yes, after downloading, I checked the box in the mods
Sounds like the mod is not active in your current galaxy. Did you activated the mod in the game settings AND in your galaxy mod list after installing it?
you can adjust and limit the values to prevent cheating on a mp server. you can also limit the mod to admins only.
There is no setting for automatic guns anymore since game update 2.0. All turrets can be automatic now. Just click on them in your ship loadout and press A key. A little icon should appear on the turret to indicate the new status.
You can't.
You can simply adjust the fire rate in the corresponding field.
Didn't know that there is a problem... I'll have a look at it.
Thank you! It's a lot of work but I love to share it with all of you.
It's designed to support custom turrets from other mods too. But not theire custom mechanics.
Could you send me the turrets save data to test it? You can find all saved turrets line by line in this file: "customturretbuilder.txt" in %AppData%/Avorion/moddata (Windows) oder ~/.avorion/moddata/ (Linux).

I'm currently trying to see if its a conflict on my end but I think it would be weird since it only seems to be weapons from that mod not working properly
Yes it supports custom mods if they are made properly
Yes, my mod is working fine with all DLC's and without.
It could be, that non-latin characters in the design name causing problems. Could you check this, please?
You can change the design names manually too in "customturretbuilder.txt" in %AppData%/Avorion/moddata (Windows) oder ~/.avorion/moddata/ (Linux).
I can't reproduce this bug. Can you provide more informations? What kind of turret, which range did you entered? Make sure to not have set a maximum range in the admin settings.
You have to click on "Build Custom Turret" to get the turret into your inventory. You can watch my demo video in the mod gallery to see how it works.
