Oh. it is actually pretty easy. You need to first get a base image to use as a template. The Wiki has the basic face images so you can get the right height and width, them you use a program to draw your image. You can remove transparency with things like GIMP and Irfanview. You check the faces in the included skin editor within your Garden Paws folder (GPSkin testing). Just go to your game's local files to access it. The editor lets you upload a face and put it on the model. That is what you see with the base white animal models with the faces on them in the screenshots. There is a mod managing application in your Game's folder as well called "ModManager" it has a piece of toast as an icon. You can open that and make a mod with your skin or face you drew before. It asks for a name for the mod at start. You load an image for the file in the skin or face options as well as an image for the Screenshot icon. You can set this skin mod as Public or Private when it is done.

Do you mind if I ask how you make custom eyes? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make them and import them :S
