Great mod but muslims vassals can no longer expand because they only get conquest CB against independent realms and women dont inherit claims(therefore they cant be passed to offspring via marriage)

does anyone know what scripts this touches as I want to try this with the AGOT dragon update mod
Generalissimo 1. jan. 2024 kl. 10:19
Although I love this mod, it seems it is really balanced for Western Rulers, as they can inherit claims through marriage, unfortunately, majority of Eastern Rulers have Male-Only inheritance, which makes expanding nigh impossible, besides cheese. Do you have any idea that could be done to fix that? I could be wrong, but maybe allowing the women to inherit claims even on Male-Only could possibly fix that, maybe transferring the claim to the husband or son if it is enforced?

Agreed with Dizzy. Need to restrict papal claims a lot. I like the more natural expansion now but people just buy claims anyway.
Dizzy Ioeuy 18. maj 2023 kl. 17:29
I wish the papal claims were harder to get now too....

@Andrej Genetics, fertility, and mortality does just that, it's a great mod that kills the OP Eugenics crap in this game and makes it more like CK2, with fewer children and such.

you can also just get pressed claims from the pope if you in europe

This has been my personnal most underated mod I use all the time. Thanks

However, there will still be special events for neighbors to get your claim. Can you delete this special event?

Another thing is breeding mutants. After few generations my friend always got character with genius, hale, and other great traits. We need a mod that limits a chance for inheriting good traits. It shouldn't be that easy. Prestige penalty for marrying commoner for traits could also be bigger.

And really annoying one - disinherit button. When my friend got first son who somehow didn't have genius he just disinherit or choose younger one becouse he has high crown authority and can choose heir. It's stupid. In medieval times order of succesion was regulated by tradition and violating it would cause civil disorder for sure. Im for removing those disinherit and choose heir actions altogether. You could also keep them but script events which would encourage civil war in defence of disinherited son. He should definitely become rival of a king and rival of a chosen heir and likely rise arms in the future to defend his rights.

Thanks for this mod, I will try it.

Could you also remove overpowered perks like meritocracy and sanctioned loopholes?

Also diplomacy perks are overpowered. Last time I played with a friend and he was constantly picking up diplomacy education and lifestyle. He rarely had a civil war, he could have like 11 friends through this stupid action "make friend" - there should be a limit how many friends you can have. Also often HRE collapsed and he as a king of France diplomatically vassalised whole Italy, Burgundy, Sicily and even catholic duke in Tripolitania. It's ridiculous. I would love the mod who make vassalisation of a lord who is outside of your de iure impossible like it was in Ck2. They all were strong dukes, had different culture, were outside of de iure but becouse he had diplomatic perks they accepted vassalage.

Looking forward to trying this.

I use all my mods.
alegdansk 19. sep. 2021 kl. 8:43
Do you use your own mod in your game or do you use the HARDER CLAIMS mod?
Zyme  [ophavsmand] 19. sep. 2021 kl. 8:17
In CK2 you could have 5-10% chance yearly to get a claim. And people did not like the RNG, so I guess that is why they added guaranteed claims in CK3 which I think is broken.
alegdansk 19. sep. 2021 kl. 8:14
Yes I agree with you.
It's true, falsifyng is still happening now and then...
To me it's a little weird that everytime I ask my archibishop to create a claim, it's just a matter of time and I get the claim without any problem.
The percentage of success to get it is 100%.
It would be good simply just decreasing it to 50%, as it was in CK2 if I'm not wrong...
Zyme  [ophavsmand] 19. sep. 2021 kl. 8:06
I donno. I'm not a historian. But forging and falsifying documents is still happening 2021. So I guess fabricating fake documents happened in the medieval era too. This mod is aimed for those who think fabricating claims is a cheesy and easy way of taking over land instead of using marriage or intrigue and other ways to get claims.
alegdansk 19. sep. 2021 kl. 4:44
ZYME, I love to play this game in the most historically realistic way.
So I have a question for you: do you think your mod is more realistic than the current way to create claims? If you think YES, I would subscribe your mod for sure.
Because I remember that in CK1 and CK2 it was more difficult to claim titles than now in CK3.
I 2. sep. 2021 kl. 12:18
Ck2 did it better
nyyfandan 1. sep. 2021 kl. 6:32
@zyme I don't have one on hand at the moment. It's really random event within the game, and the only way it triggers is if a neighbor of yours has a really low level council member. I'll try to keep an eye out for it though.
Zyme  [ophavsmand] 31. aug. 2021 kl. 22:52
Do you have a screenshot of the event?
nyyfandan 31. aug. 2021 kl. 21:39
Just curious, you know how you can get somewhat random "blunder [of neighbor's council] results in claim" every once in a while? does this disable events like that too? seems like it would not
Zyme  [ophavsmand] 28. aug. 2021 kl. 12:29
@Vantage I'm trying to reduce blobbing, not increase it. The world is more interesting with a lot of smaller rulers.
Chuckawookie 28. aug. 2021 kl. 11:55
Oh you're the one that made the rally points mod. I have to say I like your mod ideas even if I don't use them. AI does seem really passive and they rarely use fabricate claim on me but vassals use it against each other. Yeah it would be better if we have to play the marriage game to get claims and have a very slow expanse. I disagree about the holy wars though because heresy is a crime worthy of death so I can see why they would declare war if you aren't "astray." This is another good idea that I'll just implement without the mod. I would say it should be possible to fabricate a claim, just very rarely (once every 40 years).
M82 28. aug. 2021 kl. 5:54
Could you make a mod that gives the AI a free county conquest CB on their neighbors (including human) I feel like the AI doesn't tries to expand when they have no claim and they feel really passive
LordZarmack 28. aug. 2021 kl. 1:38
The only I see is the whole religious war bs that lets any catholic nation go to holy war for a religion change that isn't really a huge deviation of the faith is bs. Might wanna fix that too if you don't mind. aka: when I change my nations faith at all, from say : I play Scotland and then decide to reform into a celtic version of insular Christianity the ai spams holy wars I find and then ofc you just get steamrolled when in fact the catholic church never wages holy wars against Ireland.

Ai just uses it as a cope to get around a reason to be aggressive to the player rather than what they'd actually do and that is cut off all ties and put pressure on you to change or fuel plots to overthrow you instead.
LordZarmack 28. aug. 2021 kl. 1:32
I kinda agree with you tbh, the fact it's so rudimentary to the game is meh. Without it it actually makes people be smart to get claims or legitly inherent them rather than as you say "blob" each other over any opportunity.
