The antennas on a U-Boat are the cables that lead from the top of the conning tower forward to the bow and from the conning tower to the stern.
Just a FYI
Note: I didn't start a new save game, but added the mod during an active playthrough.
I will check the no retraction after transmission.
1 thing to improve maybe:
when receiving messages the antenna raises automatically but not throught sending messages:
Cheers and good hunting
"What is RDF? its the normal radio?!""
This mod is just aesthetic. It allows you to raise/lower the antenna but has no impact on gameplay or radio transmissions themselves. In real life it was used to find the origin of radio signals but in game it's just an object. This mod removes an eyesore when manning the bridge in first-person mode as it can block a large portion of your view when trying to use the UZO sight or watching for planes.
The other reason being that it annoyed some players seeing the antenna sticking out when submerging as the antenna was not left deployed when the boat went under water as this could damage the antenna.
"Didn't work for me"
Did you install the required mod listed on this page? Custom Actions is also needed in order for this mod to function. You can manually raise/lower the antenna by right-clicking on the radio in the radio room. The antenna should also raise up by itself whenever your radioman is decoding a transmission.
