I have looked at this mod and in my opinion, there are no problems in 1.5. The mod only changes that planned operations are not performed by normal doctors, but by surgeons. Everything else is not touched. Any DLC content is not affected by this mod.

@Jinks Sorry for the super late reply, I've been on an island with literally no electric, plumbed water, or internet as a vacation. Finally getting back to checking all my notifications. I personally do not want to maintain a mod page for Rimworld as of yet, but seeing as you already have this posted, could I send you my modified file for you to use to update this? If not, I totally understand and thats cool too.

@TacoLite feel free to update/link/change whatever you want. I haven't touched RimWorld in some time and my personal modlist is not quite 1.5-ready. I looked at the XMLs and I don't even remember how I put it together, much less if it needs any changes for 1.5. xD

Okay, I discovered an oversight with the Paramedic Mechs from Biotech being incapable of doing operations since it is a new work type that they do not have access to. I've created a patch for personal use. I'm happy to hand the code over to @Jinks so he can update the mod.

Other than that, I'm still too early in testing to have found anything else. Oh, and of course, adding the Surgeon Job to the Paramedic Mechs work list causes the usual issue of the Mech still not being able to do that work until it is 'reset' - by either being disconnected and reconnected to a Mechanitor, or death, as far as I'm aware. However thats not a direct result of this implementation.

Hey @Jinks, It's not my intention to bother you, but do you believe this mod will continue to work with the 1.5 update and Anomaly DLC?

Some new jobs related to entities were added with Anomaly, which is where my main concern is focused. I downloaded the mod and looked in the files, and it all seems to be low risk.

I'm backing up my save and intend on testing it out either way. For anyone reading this, I'll report back or create a discussion if I encounter any issues.

so bit of a funny one, caught a 3 year old pawn doing a heart transplant cuz he was allowed to do surgeries but not medical.

I pushed a 1.4 compatible Version.

I have not yet checked, if BioTech adds new surgeon jobs that need moving.

Great. Just great. I got 3 docs, 3 skills 6,7 and 18 and the lower ones ALWAYS DO THE SURGERY UGH THANK YOU SO MUCH

@smikeproject I haven't tried, but I don't see why not. I just creates a new main WorkType and moves the two surgeon jobs (human and animal) over.

You can achieve the same with WorkTab already though by just opening the doctor column's sub-view and adjusting the internal priorities.

Omg thank you. Now my EMTs can do their job without having to set skill/pawn reqs on every surgery. There are other mods that basically do the same thing by expanding the work tab out to like four screens wide for every individual task, but that's just trading one micromanaging nightmare for another.
