Why does it just constantly spin

i really wish it had weapons other wise its amazing but no weapons makes it kinda useless to me

is it ok if you add gyro to airship as its moving a bit

kinda sad that stormworks doesnt have a actual way to make airships itd be cool if you could do it without a glitch

I tried for 45m just to connect and the connector was INSIDE OF THE RAIL

can you change the rail connector to an electric one as it is easier to connect with electric than rail

i love the design and love how it works. all i wish tho is the guns actually worked lol. would make it super deadly

Very much not. Got a lot going on with uni and and the original plan to just update the weapons has shifted into completely reworking the plane and the capture mechanism so it might be a while. But believe me it will appear (hopefully like 8 weeks from now when i finish exams).

I love this ship! After I finally wrapped my brain around how the ship works, I spent several hours flying around in it. A huge admirer of the IRL historical airships the US Navy played with back in the 20s and 30s, loving the biplane trapeze! It's just like the old flying carriers they used to have.

Listed, Im currently working on a DLC version in the background but im waiting on the devs to add light machine gun belts. Light autocannons are way to clunky to get to fit nicely and the current light machine guns are very limited in terms of ammo.

Was or will this get a re-release for the gun DLC?

Best way to reduce the lag is to raise the altitude of the airship as soon as it spawns. Most of the drag is due to the dock because of the way stormworks models drag near structures.

The trapeeze system for recovering the plane isnt the best but holy crap playing with these harpoons is the most fun ive had in stormworks in a while.

Oiad, Brick and NTSFMagellan, I am currently working on another carrier airship that will hopefully address the issues of the harbinger including a completley redesigned trapeze/docking system and an emphasis on physics optimisation. hope to show it off soon :)

Yeah this could definitely use an electric connector, every time I've gotten close to docking the plane I've missed the rails by a couple of inches.

Basically, the connector is placed behind the rails for easier docking to the trapeze, as electric connectors do not need to be nearly as precise as rails. So once the connectors catch the plane, the plane will then angle perfectly into the tracks and it will connect to the trapeze

@Coles if you plan on making an more advanced (read: airtight, maybe with a jetfighter) version of this, i would suggest improving the trapeze and plane by adding an electric connector

This Airship needs some Optimisation. Removal of the unnecessary ropes surrounding the gondola, adding doors to the main cabin, Crawlspaces through the envelope, Replacing of the small rocket fuel structural members, as they take up unnecessary processing. Maybe adding some Searchlights?

all the islands are small writes, show a specific island to download the buildings please

e.maxov, you subscribe to it on the steam workshop. The craft file will then be downloaded through steam automatically. you can then spawn it by finding the craft file under the "workshop" tab when you go to load creations in the workbench. Since this airship is really large you will have to spawn it at a large dock like the one on the creative island.
