@Kantaris - As the mod description states, this mod is entirely unsafe to add or remove mid-save without Mid-Save Saver due to how it alters the human BodyDef and thus causes hediff indices to shift.

Installing this mod during an existing save cut off various body parts of 2 of my Sanguophages. They both lost a leg and then some other random digits. Tested it several times with and without this mod, and every time they lose the same body parts when I install it. Running all DLC's and Eccentric Tech Core.

@SiaNKs - These aren't genes, so there's no reason they would show up in a xenotype editor. Character Editor, Pawn Editor, and vanilla dev mode should all be able to add the cosmetic parts via Add Hediff, or you can use the handy "Add cosmetic set" debug action in the dev actions menu.

Sadly in 1.6 this aint showing up in Xenotype Editor for cosmetics, nor you can add this in any way through Character Editor.

Maybe add minimum age of 1 for chance to have these implants added on new pawn generation?
That would defacto exlude any newborn (since they start at 0), but still allow for visiting children to have them

Small issue- children are being born with these implants.
Pretty sure it's not intended behavior.
Probably because it's considered "pawn generation" by this mod and applies apropriate percentage chance of occuring.
Could it be possible to exclude newborns from being born with them?

@Meyar - There is currently no way to restore a missing crown other than installing another implant, but having it missing does not hurt the colonist in any way either, as it's a purely cosmetic body part.

@SerialElf - That is correct, in 1.5 CosMods no longer needs anything other than Harmony to function. HAR is still needed for 1.4 and prior.

In my game the universal body addon layer offsets you use for south facing ears (left and right) puts the ears in front of the headgear from your eccentric gear mod which doesn't line up with the illustrations for the maid headbands, changing the south layer offset to -0.280 fixed the issue for me. It could just be my game tho, its a flipping mess of personally patched mods and I didn't check with just your mods and HAR installed. I also didn't check if any of the other side crown attached addons have the same issue since I don't use any, but I did see they have the same -0.270 offset as the ears.

It took me a while to figure out, as I do not use any HAR race mods but apparently XML Extension's update to 1.5 broke something with HAR and prevents the cosmetics from showing up at all. It apparently affects HAR as a whole and even race mods are having trouble.

It's all on XML's end at the moment, so if someone like me was stumped at what was causing the problem and had no idea, check if you have XML Extensions.

Awesome mods though, love every Eccentric mod!

Unfortunately (or fortunately?) it's not giving out any errors, so I can't really provide any logs, it might just be a mod incompatibility in that case. Thank you for answering!

@MIYUUNA - I have not seen any major performance issues in my testing, but CosMods does add a lot of rendering overhead to the pawn render tree for humans that can add up if another mod is causing humans to constantly re-calculate their render trees. I would need more information to go on in any case, are you getting any errors and do you have a log file if so?

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that for some odd reason this tanks FPS and TPS in 1.5 (from 185 fps to 30 unsure if its a mod compatibility issue) but none of the other eccentric mods do!

@Max @Jiven - There is no world in which CosMods will ever be independent from HAR. You have plenty of options if you're using Biotech, and CosMods works without requiring any DLC content. :)

Guess ill throw my +1 vote for a biotech version into the swarm that appears to be in this comment section. Yeah there are gene mods that add similar stuff but these not only look neater them some but they have full sets or parts of stuff to fit a specific theme. Also mod series is called eccentric tech yet no gene modding module yet to my knowledge, that's a missed opportunity. Could even have it setup so you can get the initial genes through craftable tech like injectors, quests, or something else instead of generic biotech stuff.

@metgyre - From a quick look at the comments section for Hats Display Selection, it seems that HDS is breaking all HAR BodyAddons, which is the feature of HAR that CosMods uses to render. This sounds like a much larger systemic issue that they need to fix, and there's probably not much I can personally do about it considering CosMods has zero custom code in it and relies entirely on HAR to function.

Definitely an incompatibility issue with Hats Display Selection. No matter how I change the load order, the cosmetic mods will not show up. Alas, I am not smart enough to figure out how to fix this.

That will be on Nals end then. The floating ear though I think is its own issue, though I can't think of which mod would be causing that. Aside from NFA, the only other mod that I can think of that specifically effects that area of the pawn would be Display Hats Selection. I have a feeling that I'm gonna have to do it the hard way, and begin the "half-list" method of finding out which mod is causing the floating ear.

@kamiyosha - Hi! Humanoid Alien Races released a new update today and it's causing many animation mods that have explicit HAR support (such as NFA and Yayo's Animations) to break. This should be fixed whenever those animation mods get a chance to update their HAR compatibility code, apologies for the inconvenience!

Well, I reordered to make the cosmetics visible again, and I still have the floating ear problem. But only if the pawn is facing west. It's weird, and I'm not sure how to fix it. Lol. It was working before, and then today, floating ear.

Hello.

I think I have found an incompatibility with Nals Facial Animations mod, either with WIP or the Experimental.

I first began to investigate when on of the ears was floating high above the pawns head, and after some fiddling around, I removed NFA but nothing fixed it. So, I decided to place NFA above ET, and now the ears and tails don't display at all. The animations, however, are working perfectly again for NFA (I kept them for the eyes redraw), which hadn't been for months. So, somewhere (I'm no expert) I believe there is a core compatibility problem between these two mods.

I can reproduce this consistently, and I have hugslib, so I can share a log if you like (if I can remember how to. Lol)

Not sure what's going on, but I love both mods. I would hate to have to give up NFA, but if needs must, well...

Hope to see this with Biotech/xenotype support. Have tried using it since (I think it looks much better) but the cosmetics don't seem compatible with xenotypes that add features.

I want the better looking bunny ears..

might be able to do this with Vanilla expanded framework instead of human alien races. gene versions would be meh. i like how you can add these as cosmetics.

One of my favorite mods, great work! A genemod version would be very nice. Sadly, with the new biotech update the HAR feel a bit detached from the game mechanics.
