Updated description, loading screenshots, loading screen notes, and starting guides to clarify that Reforged Eden is discontinued and will receive no more updates or support.
Been seeing a few posts lately about issues while playing RE1 and want to make clear this is an obsolete scenario that is no longer supported.

Dont like RE2 int not fun, too many restrictions, everything has admin cores, nerfs, and shields are pointless with damage pass through... our server went back to RE1 Atlantis Crew way better

I never got very far in the vanilla game. Should I start with this or RE2 or continue to try to master the vanilla game before I try either RE1 or 2

If it's something easy I will (probably) update it, but if it involves a significant amount of work then no.

Thats how it goes though. With mods not always get what your hoping for. I loved RE1 as well. RE2.. Im struggling with. I cant build a ship in R2. Either end up underpowered and generators fail. Or not enough thrust and wont fly. RE2 has lot of potential but as is it is not casual player friendly. Its too limiting and difficult. Now I am not saying its bad at all. Just need be more experienced to play it. Which I am not :-)

As for unpaid,, That does suck due to amount of investment you both need to do. But you can use it as profolio down road to get job in the field :-) So can be seen as investment in future. I hope you do get donations to help.

But yes not every mod will be exactly as a user wants. As modder might not have same view. So have to accept that not all will be perfect :-) I like the idea of RE2 just not the balance or implementation. But I still appreciate the effort they both putting into it.

@ravien_ff ... I mean, if you're not makin any money that's kinda a lose lose for you, yea. There's plenty of RE servers out there makin all kinds of money. HWS comes to mind. Kinda shitty if you're not gettin a cut of that, but that's not my yard to play in.

I don't know if you realise this or not, but there are a lot of players out there who don't want to move to RE2. It seems like all the joy has been ripped out of the game in order to bow down to the die-hard minority. RE2 is heavily unbalanced, extremely unfriendly to casual players, and just doesn't have the same magic that RE1 had. If you wanna survive in RE2 you have to build the same ship as every other die-hard player. There's no room for customisation. There's no room for creativity. Build a box out of alien blocks with all your equipment in their own sealed compartments. Then you can decorate the exterior to make it look all pretty, knowing full well all those blocks are gonna get blown to hell.

@Jodian There is a scenario based on RE1 called Ad Astra that for now is still being updated. It may fit your needs over playing RE2 - I agree with you on the "unbalanced" part!

That's a lose lose, as neither of us have the time to work on two scenarios.
It's literally a part time, unpaid job and that would have turned it into a full time, unpaid job.

Would have been nice if they had more done in RE2 before retiring RE1... Kinda feels like we were dumped on our ass. Either play the more complete one that's not getting any more updates, or play the content-lacking, unbalanced, and unfinished one.

Yeah i just mean currently RE1 has more content. RE2 will of course be better Ravien in the long run I would never argue this! Its just a very slow roll out and having the wipe your saves for any major content updates def puts some appeal back on RE1 and Atlantis

@BIGDaDdY It's likely because the game updated to 1.11.8 from 1.11.7 this weekend. I am unable to access my server at the moment. Hopefully the issue isn't too big and the authors can update the mod to be compatible with the latest update. Once it's fixed, I'm updating my blueprints and switching to RE2, as ravien_ff has suggested to everyone.

RE2 is more stable than RE1 and has a lot of issues fixed.

So no reason NOT to use this? Using RE2 seems to have stability issues on our server and this seems to have more content

What you see is what you get in RE1. There's no further development of this scenario, therefor whatever you see in the PDA is it as far as main missions go.

Nothing in RE1 is going to be updated anymore unless it's an easy fix for a critical bug.

That would be due to a game bug.
If you change difficulty settings it won't work unless you change the seed after.

why re1 cannot start up a new game ? the game without re1 can start normally.
