Well the "Walled Palace" map no longer works, but this somehow got fixed? Perhaps Steel Raven removed the feature that messed it up, which is why it works now.

couldn't you use vision occluders to stop bots from shooting you thru bushes? i dont know much about modding so this could be an entirely stupid question

I suggest you play in the old version, which can be accessed by going to the "Betas" tabs in the game's properties.

That's an issue with the newest beta which Steel overlooked, I cannot fix that without making the bushes see-through by the bots. That will mean the AI will be able to shoot you, while you won't.

It's kind of annoying that you can't move through the bushes, it makes using vehicles hell too

That is something to do with the beta branch update, we modders cannot fix it right now.

The map is balanced for the weapons, I cannot guarantee it'll be played how it's meant without them.

The artillery piles are just there to signal that an artillery position had been there before the KPA was pushed back. It's probably not a good idea to keep your indirect fire artillery in the frontline so it would've been carried way back into Kortsil.

The map was originally going to have a radio that called in artillery, but it's pretty small so we decided against doing that.
