Why have I not looked after a mod like this before. Every time I start the game I get annoyed by the ugly painted screens, they are so terribly drawn.
Good idea to use European paintings. thank you!

@cwkam1,
-Make sure it's is fully downloaded it takes a little longer than most mods because its 315 MB.
-Make sure the mod is at the top of the list order (playset) in the launcher, that way it will be the first mod to load.
-After downloading it sometimes helps to restart the launcher after a few minutes.

So one of the reasons I actually need this mod is because since my monitor is a widescreen the ones in Vanilla don't show up right. So yea really enjoy being able to actually see amazing pictures before playing the game.

Praised be this mod! The loading screen, if not, one of the most boring aspects of this form, the wait to load, elevated into time to contemplation; now it's something sublime!

It works on 1.31 so far. Can't say I doubt that it will probably need to be updated in the future but it seems fine now.

Yea you can manually update the mod. Would be nice though if the author had the time at some point down the line.

Mod itself works of course. The Loading Screen and its mechanisms will probably not change even in the future...

Go to your Steam folder (on partition where game is installed).
Go to steamapps/workshop/content/236850/251964175.
Open descriptor.mod with Notepad.
Change to supported_version="1.30.*.*"

Any and all Paradox mods need to be posted somewhere else as well, there is always going to be a problem downloading them. Throw them in Google Drive or Dropbox and post the link in the description

@SleepyLion Yes, thanks, I did figure it out by doing exactly that. I had unsubscribed and resubscribed before without any effect, but yesterday I deleted the files and voila, the screens were soon back. Thanks! I love the game, but I really don't care for the vanilla loading screen style.
