Also, great addition. I love how this slows the pace, and even makes certain battles more challenging. Pairs very well with the image enhancement in YAML.

Can we get the mod updated for DLC 7 and with lore height? , I mean if a Locust has an 8 meters height why the infantry is so freakin small?

This mod seems to be causing a problem where the screen is stuck when the mod is enabled.
Perhaps related to yesterdays update?

@necrophoria There are a few other mods that let you disable them from doing damage and what not to basically make them a visual immersion thing, thats what i do.

This is pretty much enabling dark souls swamp areas in the game. Non stop chip damage. It's a constant DOT that gets annoying, and the novelty of the gif infantry wears off quick.

Fun mod, but is shooting an infantry soldier with 4 medium lasers simultaneously a war crime? Kind of feels like it! haha

Is there a setting or mod that tweaks the pilot AI to actually fight infantry?

It still works with DLC6.

Infantry is so cool! They scratch armor a little from big guns. I like it.
Watch your step because you also has friendly infantry in some missions with friendly forces.

Does this mod still work with the latest DLC release?

This mod is an official mod for a cut feature of the base game to have infantry forces with SRM and other hand weapons that can slightly threaten mechs. Its unfinished and the AI does not target them and friendly infantry do not engage enemies.

It is a proof of concept for something that was originally planned but removed likely due to ESRB concerns and while it makes machineguns and flamers more useful its not a finished system.

While other mods might make more use of this it is not in a really usable state right now. It would be very cool to see battlearmor and elementals. This is however not what we are getting.

It's nice to have infantry back, but it's just not the same. Infantry is supposed to explode into a shower of limbs and blood at the slightest provocation!

If you ever wanted to use this mod but wished the Infantry had better AI, didn't damage your Mechs or blended in with the game better then you should give these mods a look.

Doubt PGI (authors) will improve this any further, but at least it will still work with any version..

not sure if needs updating to latest version of the game, mod still works perhaps its better to have it updated to match latest version @ mod author?

Yeah someone mentioned. Only the enemy AI infantry actual fight and run around. Friendlies dont do anything.

It seems that infantry only attacks the player and AI teammates ignore infantry as well. Useless mod that only adds annoyance.

cool cuz in the main menu you see infintry and in other battletch games its a warzone with tanks and airplanes and stuff very neat

also maby you could mess with the game and decrese tanks and turret spawns to give infinty rpg's or anti matirial rifiles just so they are a more noticable threat

My lancemates aren't shooting infantry....

love this, the little guys are lazy, they run away, run to. dont do any damage but legit funny to see a random pot shot over your shoulder, only to look back and see a base goblin acting chill.

For a while it wasn't working properly. Infantry started spawning again only after I moved this mod to the very last spot of my mod list using the mod manager. Hope this helps someone.

Anyone not seeing Infantry appear anymore?

They are very small and have red dots above them. Look for moving tiny black and red people. also they shot you and do little damage if you don't kill them. I suggest a laser or machine gun to clean them up. Remember you are in a giant mech. They are people on the ground. they look like mini shadow people.

never seen any infantry in my game with this mod.

Played this mod a fair bit, but the AI (lancemates) still ignore them

recently updated but no change notes...
Not re-enabling this till someone can confirm my lancemates can target and shoot them.

im not seeing them. are they only at certain areas or am i doing something wrong?

One of these little infantry guys took the last shot and blew off my Annihilators left arm on the way back to the LZ. You know he's a legend now.

Hilarious mod to enhance the mech-stomping goodness. Whether the infantry are extremely well disciplined, fanatical or on combat stimms (or any of the aforementioned) they get top marks for standing up to a mech, even if they get squished. I do not care, they are only Kuritans.

Yes the infantry actually do damage.It's very tiny damage (maybe even less than 1) but if there's enough of them and you stand still they can start picking you apart. I've had my previously severely damaged arm get finished off by infantry once because they hit my ammo and caused an explosion.

I havent actually seen any infantry anywhere. Is there something I need to do to make it work?

@Mynx They do some damage, but it's a small amount.
