I did Laynayros fix as well as changed the description mod version to 1.15 and it worked for me, TY

Hey, I've noticed that this mode wasn't working properly lately. I've no idea why, but basically it only shows the "Convert Holding to Castle" decision but it doesn't do anything.

Doubling down on what Mingo and Launayro said, the simple fix allows the mod to function as intended. It's extremely easy to do, so don't be dissuaded.

I can confirm that Iaunayro's fix in a comment below still works for version 1.14, even in CK3 AGOT. Like minceraft1 said, just replace every instance of

picture = "gfx/interface/illustrations/decisions/decision_misc.dds"

with

picture = {
reference = "gfx/interface/illustrations/decisions/decision_misc.dds"
}

with the brackets.

Thank you @launayro for the fix. Took a couple tries to get it working, but it works.
@Jakemf double check that you have it exactly as he has it. You need the brackets and reference bit in there, which I didn't add the first attempt, and I imagine you glossed over as well.

This isn't working for me as of 12/17/24 on version 1.14; using @launayro 's fix did not work for me.

To correct the bug in 1.14 version :
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2510421095\common\decisions
- in the file ch_minor_decisions.txt change

picture = gfx/interface/illustrations/decisions/decision_misc.dds

to that for all ch_convert_holding

picture = {
reference = "gfx/interface/illustrations/decisions/decision_misc.dds"
}

decision_group_type = decisions

Is it possible to change this simply doing by right clicking on settlement and shows you the list to choice from and right click on one of the options you want to any settlement within your general borders regardless if they are character personal holding?
It seems easier to work with.

@shakenidentity so i've also had issues i had to go here
C:\Users\Username\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod
and removing the descriptor file as this is where it is looking for that not in the mod folder in your steam location file
then re subscribe to the mod

@ Thanks, General. But that mod to add to this one to get this one to work is showing as missing a descriptor file. How are you getting around that? | This mod alone was awesome, but now just shows a blank box in game after the most recent update. Thanks, sg.chaos, for extending it at least as long as you had. Much appreciated.

Before the Roads to Power/Wandering Nobles update, this mod was working perfectly, but now when I use it, the only option available to me is converting a holding to a castle; none of the other options show up at all.

Not sure why, but only option I get in decisions is convert holding to castle, which is the opposite of what I'm trying to do. No other mods present.

If anyone wondering - got this mod to work by also installing this mod ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2976899192&searchtext=convert+holding ). The holding conversion will be cheaper, but at least it works.

The original version of this mod was working with other mods yet this mod doesn't, I wonder what changes made in this mod break compatibility more than the other mod.

Is there a mod that let's us build whatever we want in an empty holding? Like a castle if we don't have a city AND temple, in that county?

@A A Ron here’s my trick to get around that. Use the Divine Intervention mod to let me switch characters (doesn’t break achievements), do the convert I want, and switch back

You can make this mod work for tribal without too much mucking around. I just did it today for an Elf Destiny game I am planning. I don't have much experience modding either.

Might be a mod conflict. But regardless, this is strange as this shouldn’t cause crashes at either boot up or save loading and shouldn’t with a conflict.

This mod is broken. When I first enter the game it kicks me out twice. It enters the game on my third try. When I turn off the mod, I can log in on the first try.

That likely has to do that the capitol always has to be the first spot located?
