I don't believe it uses custom hands. If I remember correctly, I set it to use the Combine Elite's hands, so it should match a bit better than if it were to just use the default ones.

Hey all. Is there an addon out there that can change the view model of a playermodel holding a pistol? I kind of hate the whole slanted back and one-hand pistol hold.

Quick minor update: Fixed the link in the description, though garrysmod.org no longer exists.
As for the playermodel eye being changed to playermodel color; this seems like something that would be a good compromise, so I don't keep getting requests for new colors. If someone has knowledge of adding custom colors to VTFs, please let me know.

How come I need to look it up in my browser to find it? I don't see it on the workshop page in the steam browser. :\

Also, for the eyes blue part, would it be possible to make it so that the eye follows the player model colour in the character menu? I'm no modder, but it sounds simple enough...

I'll be pushing an update out in a few minutes that will change the firstperson arms to the combine elite's. It's not exact, but it's better than the generic citizen hand.

Thanks to the suggestions, I'll see what I can do about making the eye blue. I have a bit more skill in texture making rather than modeling, so it should be a simple edit.

Go to lua/autorun/hl2betaplayermodels.lua and replace everything that's there with this to fix the hand problem:

@Gunter There's a possibility that this is being caused by other addons, as you are the only one to report this. I, personally, haven't had any problems with this, but I'll look into this issue.

when i exit the game the player model dosent save

Just note that mod can mess up at times. For instance, if you get in a car, and get out you will notice your actual skin hands will appear elsewhere on the map and not holding your guns. also, this mod completely screws up FA:S guns. They will not show up. Why? i dont know. But its pretty much worth it in my eyes. FA:S isnt the only good gun mod, infact it gets old after a while.

As I said before, first of all I didn't make this! Second of all, I'm a n00b when it come to LUA scripting and skins. The most that I've ever done is make a few maps and fix up someone's weapon code. But, I'll see what I can do.
