@TorchModders, I don't believe every pet in your mod is causing Torchlight 2 to crash. I played Torchlight 2 with the Werewolf and the Tutara Brute several times in the past. I don't remember the game crashing to the desktop. That didn't become an issue for me until I selected the Armored Warbeast. It definitely wasn't caused by conflicting mods. I didn't have any other mods installed except for Phan's Big Pets.

@doudley, I have an ATI graphics card in my computer. I had to install the AMD Flicker Fix patch for this Torchlight 2 game. It may be some kind of compatibility issue with this graphics card. That may be what caused the crashing. I could install the latest beta driver for this graphics card. That might solve the problem, or it might not.

Badly coded skill, improper unittype tree, or unrecognized texture can cause the game to crash when loaded. But in regards to textures, sometime even if it is compiled properly, the effect may still differ depending on what computer/OS that renders it. These info are based on our experience with Variant Classes mod. That Mac users still have issue being able to use all the classes available in that mod.

I know for certain that the Skill Points X2 mod is not causing the problem because I played Torchlight 2 with only the Phan's Big Pets mod installed. The game still crashed to the desktop after I selected the Armored Warbeast as a pet. That happened repeatedly after starting the game four or five times. The game never crashes to the desktop after I remove that mod.

The Skill Points X2 mod may have caused a conflict. I know that particular mod includes the Respec Potion mod.

I had Blank's Landmarks, Extra Chunky, Gems are Consumables, Mountains of Consumables, Map Keybinds, Skill Points X2, Golden Chest with Uniques, Ultimate Boss Chests, and your Big Pets mod installed when the game was crashing. The mod manager for the Steam version of Torchlight 2 didn't show any conflicting mods. I guess it never does.

Hey @Brian thx for using my mod! Since the arnored warbeast uses an existing model, it doesnt need to be another pet mod to cause a conflict. Do u have any other mods installed?

I always liked these Big Pets, but some of them do cause the game to crash. The Armored Warbeast definitely causes that problem every time. That may be because of my graphics card or computer. I don't have any other pet mods installed.

I just subscribed! The bear is so huge it didn't fit on my small screen, I love it!! I'm happy to see they all have decent portraits, maybe I can make an exclusive content for BiA: Warbounds if this mod is in the mod load order too. Will you allow me to make that integration?

Does this mod only add new starting pets and not change the game otherwise?

This mod is awesome. These Big Pets will smash anything that gets in their way. The artwork and animations are really good. The Werewolf is my favorite pet, but I think the Tutara Brute is the best fighter. Some of the pets like the Manticore make too much noise for me. That's why I never use them. I really think the Manticore should be a flying pet.

@PHΔΠJΔM , Up to you, but either way you are very talented, so if something you like doing do it more:D YOu could even take the hawk bird model make it giant, and change the color scheme into a Scarlet Macaw, or perhaps a baby otter off the ferret. As a gal we'd puffy heart it. I'll even leave you with some dignity, and skip requests for unicorns, and luck dragons like in Never Ending Story although the luck dragon would be boss:D
