Otherwise, it's useful for compacting gasses into canisters when you have too much ... Hints I use it to make a giant CO2 Block by condensing the gas 1st, filling some container and then super cooling it to freeze point with Thermo Aquatuner setup.
launghe88 14. aug. kl. 21:48
So to anyone who was as confused as I was with the condenser, it just kicks out gas if the gas going in isn't "cold enough" I've estimated this to be around 25-30 degrees within the condensation point, which makes it kinda pointless except for the fact that you can control the temperature and make it more consistent with the condenser rather than just doing it manually. Long story short, your condensed gas won't fluctuate in temperature as much making it easy to maintain a specific temperature. So just cool the gas going in to around 25-30ish degrees within condensation point and it'll work. This took me 2 years to figure out "LOOKING AT YOU MODDER"

Thermo Aquacooler Works like an <del>inverse</del> Aquatuner.

Also, is it cooled enough?
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 28. maj kl. 16:54
Are you sure you have version 2.2.1?
Wolves Hero 28. maj kl. 13:12
Bugged, steam can't turn to water, I tried reduced to 100g/s none worked still dumped steam bottles. Auto Condenser not worked. Just use water pipe cooler or solid conveyor cooler will condenser worked great.

RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 25. maj kl. 10:02
Figured out the actual issue; should be fixed now.
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 25. maj kl. 9:43
So the issue is that the fields in the code that I believed to represent the transition temperatures of an element are not actually the transition temperatures of an element, so now I'm a bit stuck as I don't know where in the code the transition temperatures are actually found.
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 25. maj kl. 8:13
I believe I have found a fix for the autocondenser/evaporator issue.
Shrglwyddes 3. maj kl. 9:15
Autocondensor receiving hydrogen never liquified it, even when hydrogen is nearly liquid already. dropped canisters and never outputted liquid. Gas Ethanol output had double the heat. Do you need a log?
MiserableGamer 24. apr. kl. 7:49
Why does the auto condenser just drop steam out in canisters?
SirTubbz 13. apr. kl. 22:02
and it only occurs if nuclear waste is sitting inside of a location for too long. its a unique property only for nuclear waste.
SirTubbz 13. apr. kl. 22:00
i think they meant in the fact that if you pipe nuclear waste through an aquatuner it can cause the aqua tuner to leak the waste periodically. the aquatuner in of itself doesnt actually leak nuclear waste.
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 9. apr. kl. 9:24
I wasn't aware that the aquatuner leaks nuclear waste.
Seibutsu 9. apr. kl. 9:16
Why does the Thermo Aquacooler not leak nuclear waste? If the Aquatuner leaks nuclear waste, shouldn't the Aquacooler do the same?
Broken Valkyrie 1. apr. kl. 7:03
I'm unable to get auto condenser or evaporator to work. It just dumps the liquid/gas no matter what. Even if I force the temperature beyond the transition state with 10% pipe throughput method.

For example I would try running water at 95 degree through he evaporator it just get dumped. I force water at 150 degree through the evaporator and it still get dumped to the environment.

I did similar thing with very cold hydrogen and oxygen gas with the condenser and forcing the temperature below transition state and it still just dumps it to the environment.

Ran it with no other mods and problem still persist.
GreatThunder 23. dec. 2024 kl. 17:13
Hi there! Love this mod! I ran into an issue with the Auto Evaporator with liquid ammonia: It releases the gas version of it into the environment rather than piping it.
mementh 18. dec. 2024 kl. 2:42
ok, so its not like IRL where they do state changes to move heat to a place.
Could that be done?
like using a new coolant? where liquid flows into a deal, becomes gas, takes heat out, goes back to condenser which gets hot to compress. ( no dropping just turns to a cold liquid )
you can't use water itself because its changes are not viable, but a natural gas? "regular coolant" which is natural gas with some chlorine mixed to be somewhat realistic but not using existing stuff?
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 17. dec. 2024 kl. 18:13
@mementh The Thermo Aquacooler is the opposite of the Thermo Aquatuner. The Thermo Conditioner is the opposite of the Thermo Regulator. The Auto Condenser and Auto Evaporator force a state change.
mementh 17. dec. 2024 kl. 15:50
so to understand better, does the system work like a hvac logically? aka lets use regular water. Cooler for area would heat water up to steam, send i back, and at heater it would chill steam to water?
but 4 buildings to work with? ( trying to work the logic on how this would work ) and i drops gasses/liquids if it can't heat/cool?
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 17. dec. 2024 kl. 13:44
Alright, I've pushed a fix. Keep in mind that Steam can be a bit finicky when it comes to updating mods.
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 17. dec. 2024 kl. 9:46
Sat down to try and fix this and unfortunately, I'm running into an entirely different crash. The good news at least is that the auto evaporator and condenser don't seem to be broken.

@traktor If you look at the comments, I am well aware that it is not working ATM. Unfortunately, it's a matter of finding the time and motivation to fix it.

I should note that if someone wants to submit a PR to fix it, I am open to that.
traktor 12. okt. 2024 kl. 12:26
This mod is not functioning correctly when attempting to invoke any action on it.
Any interaction or action call results in a failure, potentially due to a missing or improperly initialized object.
The game simply stops working after any action is invoked.
AlienXtream 16. sep. 2024 kl. 17:15
no rush. as much as it'd be nice for it to be updated it is only a mod. take your time and get to it when you can/are ready. :)
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 16. sep. 2024 kl. 16:00
I'm hoping to get around to fixing this in the next few weeks.
AlienXtream 4. sep. 2024 kl. 21:26
just had this one crash too. glad to hear its on the radar. i think the general approach with the DLC now is a good one, where core changes are made to the base game(s) and the DLC just being the content itself. i don't know if its the case with all/most of the mechanics but i would hope so.
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. 2024 kl. 14:50
Yeah, I've come to the same conclusion after asking about it on the ONI discord.
Bree Fird 21. aug. 2024 kl. 16:53
Im pretty sure the issue is with the new heating/cooling tweaks. They were added to the base game, so you shouldnt need to buy the dlc
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2024 kl. 10:25
I should add that the problem may not necessarily be with the DLC; it's quite possible that I just need to update to the latest version of the base game.
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2024 kl. 10:24
@floorwaxer2 I appreciate the offer but must decline.
floorwaxer2 18. aug. 2024 kl. 15:20
RedstoneParadox I will gift you frosty DLC. Add me as a friend
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 14. aug. 2024 kl. 8:52
Regarding the frosty DLC, I have no plans to purchase it any time soon as it doesn't really catch my interest in the same way Spaced Out did.
Brazilian Wandering Spider(real) 13. aug. 2024 kl. 20:42
a lot of people have said it but this is mostly for other people. the mod does crash directly after the release of the frosty DLC. however, if it gets fixed this mod is very amazing and id highly reccomend it. my only complaint is that the auto evaporator and auto condenser require whatever you pipe in to be within 5 degrees of evaporating or condensing, at which point you could just do it yourself. makes those two building absolute trash and worthless but the other two are really neat
floorwaxer2 4. aug. 2024 kl. 10:22
nice mod but like miner man guy said it now crashes the game after the DLC :(
Bree Fird 3. aug. 2024 kl. 13:49
Thermo Aquacooler and Conditioner both crash at the moment. I know you likely know this already but it's best to say something.

@Kreiger simply telling me that it crashes is not specific enough for me to diagnose the issue. I don't know what mods you're using or when specifically it crashes if you don't tell me.

RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 30. dec. 2023 kl. 10:57
I'd just like to clarify that the purpose of the evaporator/condenser is to enable state transitions of fluids without having to dump them in world and pump them up first, not to provide one-building solutions for boiling/condensing.
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 28. dec. 2023 kl. 12:17
@TerrestrisYE 30°C is nowhere near the condensation point of liquid oxygen.
TerrestrisYE 26. dec. 2023 kl. 19:47
Pumping oxygen at 30°C into the condenser has the same problem, the oxygen falls out in bottles and no liquid oxygen is output.
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 9. dec. 2023 kl. 20:39
@Greystar How cold is the steam when you feed it in?
Greystar 6. dec. 2023 kl. 20:42
I have a liquid output pipe attached to the condenser and all it's doing with the steam is bottling it. Am I misunderstanding what it's for?
RedstoneParadox  [ophavsmand] 22. aug. 2023 kl. 20:38
@roboter I'm aware of how the refrigeration cycle works IRL, but pressure as a concept doesn't really exist in ONI so I chose to take some liberties for the sake of gameplay. That being said, the evaporator should be heating up the contents of the pipe while cooling itself, and the condenser should be doing the opposite, so I'm not sure what's going on there.
