So that took you 8 years and you still don't know whats a hex means, really??
Ok then, have you ever done coding? like Java, Software and etc. Thats literally HEX. Here's the answer by the retirement hexer quote:
What is "hex"? The name "hex" comes from "hexadecimal": the standard numerical format for editing binary data. A hex editor is a type of computer program that allows for manipulation of the fundamental binary data that constitutes a computer file. Basically we take models and edit their coding to isolate them as their own model rather than allowing it to reskin the original model.
