Is there a mod to make SPQR purple and the other Roman families red?
Guilherme01SS 18. sep. 2023 kl. 11:49
This mod is perfect for both the campaign and the historical battles!
Mr. Bones 26. aug. 2023 kl. 12:54
can you make a version of this that works with Rome Expanded?
GoAnim  [ophavsmand] 10. jan. 2022 kl. 13:06
The mod has been updated for 2.0.4!

I was playing with this mod and it won't unite all the roman factions instead it has them as neutral or with a yellow coloring movement area along with their old faction icons I don't know if this is on my end or not but I do hope I can get advice on being able to have this fixed or the mod author could help ;) thanks in advance

New update.
The mod no longer changes the "descr_model_battle.txt" file, making it compatible with other mods, especially mods that add new units.
Joshuastr 1. juni 2021 kl. 19:22
Great work mate, always wanted this
Boicote  [ophavsmand] 29. maj 2021 kl. 15:40
The mod was updated. It is now compatible with "vibrancy colours". Thanks to @Giovanille for pointing me in the right direction, so I could fix the bug.
Spadde 16. maj 2021 kl. 4:32
I ran your mod only in custom battle, and it works fine now. The wrong must have been on my end.
Boicote  [ophavsmand] 15. maj 2021 kl. 18:10
@Spadde
Could you please try to play this mod without other mods?
Some mods change unit models (ex. all the popular Ptolemaic Egypt mods) by modding the same file that is crucial for this mod to work properly.
I would like to see a screenshot of an army deployed in a battle. This may give me a clue about which files are not working properly.
Spadde 15. maj 2021 kl. 14:20
I have other mods yes, but I dont know exactly what file they change, none of them should change the color of the units though.

Screenshots of what?
Boicote  [ophavsmand] 15. maj 2021 kl. 13:49
@Spadde
This may be an annoying question but...are you using any other mod that also changes the desc_model_batle.txt file?
Does it happen with all units?
Could you provide me some screenshots?
Spadde 15. maj 2021 kl. 13:43
I have realistic color already but still get the blue and green color
Giovanille 13. maj 2021 kl. 14:35
Now that I have enabled the "realistic color" of the units instead of the "original color" which was enabled by default, your mod works perfectly and is compatible with a lot of other mods. Thank you very much !
However, I still have trouble with the merchants from other Roman factions because they are exactly the same.
Spadde 13. maj 2021 kl. 11:51
@Boicote yes I do
Boicote  [ophavsmand] 13. maj 2021 kl. 10:13
Thanks for the report, Spadde. I'm still finding out why the mod doesn't work for some people. Do you use the Enhanced Graphic Pack?
Spadde 12. maj 2021 kl. 12:14
I have the same issue as @giovanille, playing as scipio and everything is red except for the units in battle :(
GreyWolf 9. maj 2021 kl. 23:41
Thanks!
Giovanille 9. maj 2021 kl. 13:52
I had left in "original color" in the game settings. I just put it in "realistic color". I'll try to relaunch the game with your mod to see if the colors work now.
Boicote  [ophavsmand] 9. maj 2021 kl. 13:47
@Kamakaziwarlord
I didn't use any tutorial. If you want to change the map colour, you should edit the desc_sm_factions.txt file. If you want to edit the soldiers colours, you sould edit the desc_model_batle.txt file
A Random Etruscan Noble 9. maj 2021 kl. 7:50
this is a very cool mod
GreyWolf 8. maj 2021 kl. 12:52
Hey mate, which files should I edit in order to make them black or any other color? Did you use some tutorial?
Boicote  [ophavsmand] 7. maj 2021 kl. 3:43
I'm going to investigate this possible incompatibility with Enhanced Graphics Pack...
Giovanille 6. maj 2021 kl. 23:22
Yes I use "Enhanced Graphics Pack", well I believe because they were installed at the same time as the game.
As I marked in the previous post, I tested it by disabling the other mods.
In any case, it's a very good idea to put only one color on the Romans. I never played with the Blues and the Greens for this reason.
Boicote  [ophavsmand] 6. maj 2021 kl. 16:08
@Giovanille
Are you using the Enhanced Graphics Pack DLC? I didn't test the mod with this Pack but I assume they are compatible

If not, make sure you are not using other incompatible mods, especially those who also change the descr_model_battle.txt file
Giovanille 6. maj 2021 kl. 15:28
The banners are red like in your images, with the icons of each Roman faction. Unit cards are also red, but the characters remain the original color (blue, purple and green). During battle, units also have their original colors (blue, green ...).
And this is the only mod used. What is the problem ?
julian 5. maj 2021 kl. 5:22
@AVE like the European Phenotype Only mod for Stellaris, the kvetching was delicious lel. Should be an easy fix. Just delete all .dds files with dark skin and copy past the normal skin texture and rename it to all the textures you deleted e.g. "arabic_m_bodies.dds". At least that's the too-dumb-to-fail approach, until I've found the file where all the textures are assigned, that would be a more graceful approach.
HeadlessSamurai 2. maj 2021 kl. 23:41
Funny in the During development of RTW all the faction were a variation of red and black and gold. They later changed it to the colors of the faction's today. cool mod.
AVE 2. maj 2021 kl. 8:53
I agree with @Mar3cuss I saw that the Devs "Fixed" the White or light skin Latin people in Italy as if Italy has always been dark, it would be nice to see a fix for this
ESKEHL 2. maj 2021 kl. 8:47
Mar3cuss, research have shown that Rome as a small city state was ethnically an italic people. But when Rome become an empire, it was ethnically diverse. In Britain for exemple, they have found remains of the ruling romans that were berber, iberian, syrian etc. So that the roman empire is white washed is simply not factual.
Spadde 2. maj 2021 kl. 7:31
maybe blue and green tunics would help tell them apart? Or maybe a belt or something?

Otherwise, awesome mod, vanilla colours really bugged me!
Rhalius 2. maj 2021 kl. 7:24
Seems a little hard to tell them apart, how about maybe changing the secondary white colours to black? I think that would already make the green and blue of the other factions look a lot better.
TrJacobin 2. maj 2021 kl. 7:08
Awesome! I was waiting for this! :D
Mich21 2. maj 2021 kl. 6:46
Nice touch, thanks
