It should be. Its main effects are creating camps in the wilderness, and the patrols they create. If you're in doubt, place this below the other mod.

I was more thinking like... if the relations to the faction drops bellow -30, then they sent 250 starving bandits to your base... something like that LOL

There are starts out there that begin as a group of starving bandits. You can also try one of the starts from this mod,, "A Journey East" and "A Journey West". You can begin already allied to the Starving Bandits or the Vagrants with these.

@Apxthy Theres disconnected UC colonies down south, alot of the UC colonies between the southwest and the Northeast are destroyed and other factions have moved in.

You mean the peasants in Shun? They are traveling north, from the Hook. It doesn't tend to go well, but maybe there's a tiny chance they'd slip through. Even I am surprised to see them outside of one of their camps, but it's kind of pleasant and pitiable when a stranger in that area talks to you.

not being negative, but im curious as to how/why (you put) the UC people are in the complete opposite corner of the map in what i believe is (i havent been down there) a harder part to live in

I could do that, but it would make it that much more difficult to find cannibal camps in that zone. Is that okay with people?

This mod doesn't add any sort of recruiting mechanics, but funny enough, there's a way to have Starving Bandits to bodyguard you in vanilla. If you are allied with them they will approach you to ask for money. When you give them some, they'll watch after you for a day, and there's a bug that makes them not even take the money you offer. You can also pick up your allies any time, if that helps.

I've seen this in action, but as far as I know, the starving Vagrants don't do this.

That's right. It's the latest patch. After the next patch this one will most likely no longer be labeled 'Experimental'.

For anyone still wondering about the issue, I've found the cause. I updated it in beta version 1.0.55, and now it requires users to be using said version. To switch versions, right-click on Kenshi in your Steam library and open Properties > Betas > and choose the 1.0.55 [experimental] build.
Despite the warning, I haven't found it any less stable than "stable" versions, and you can even select rendering Distant Towns as a default graphical option. It's not rough on your system and is a game changer!

@Fated I am open to suggestions - though I am new to posting outside of the Workshop. How do I go about publishing a mod I've made in the FCS to Steam's browser version?

As a temporary fix, I am uploading this original mod to my NexusMods page. It seems other authors are having problems with posting mods on Steam recently as well.

It would be very helpful to me and everyone else subscribed if somebody could let me know if the mod on Nexus works, as it is the same .mod file as I have been using for Steam. If not, I will attempt to upload my 2.0 version there.

Well, the remake is ready, but every time I try to upload, Steam force-quits itself and the FCS freezes. Is Steam just being a bag of dicks or is it my computer...

yea mod is kill unfortunately. It also makes even the game launcher slow to open, and slows the actual game opening too. Thanks for working on fixing it amigo. Steam workshops been breaking for multiple games recently..

It sounds like there's been a bug I can't fix, seeing as the dependency is not to any other mod but my username. Consulting the Discord server came up dry, so unless anyone has some expert advice I'll get to work on remaking this mod. There goes my weekend.

Well, I've reverted the little change I made yesterday and updated, not that I think it's related. In my FCS menu, this mod has no dependencies assigned, and when I launch while subscribed there are no related errors.
Are you guys loading anything differently from launching Kenshi through Steam? I ask because I'm unable to see any detailed errors such as what @SuckScout provided.

Is anyone besides me NOT having problems with this mod now? :steamfacepalm:

I'm also having problems. The mod doesn't load in because it says it's missing a required mod. When I hover over the mod in the load order, it says: Dependencies: - evurah - missing mod! References: - e - missing mod! missing dependent mods above:evurah missing reference mods: e

Jeez, I'm really not sure what's wrong. I always have the 'missing mod' message pop up due to an unrelated matter, so I'm just used to that. I've re-uploaded a number of times and haven't had any trouble spawning vagrant camps etc. Are you able to spawn them as normal?

Is anyone else having problems?

I tried to re-download this mod and i put it above Hunger Camp Diversity. Still says its missing mod.

I don't see anything in Vagrants Expanded that would conflict with this mod. Their camp alterations are quite separate from the ones made here. In fact, it sounds like a cool combination with Hunger Wars.

Lol, perhaps your slavers had a field day with weak NPCs. Even in vanilla I've seen situations where large numbers of slaves idled near the Rebel Outpost near the Hub.
I'm relieved everything is working now. This means the recent FCS update must have been the cause.

Don't know if it's caused by this mod for sure, but the bug stopped appearing after disabling Hunger Wars. Had 100+ slaves spawn in Border Zone just aimless standing there. I'm running it with Kenshi Kaizo with normal squad sizes/amounts so I don't know if that's an incompatibility.
