Also yes it was a joke requirement about mod users not reading the text displayed in big bold letters that I left there for a week

Indeed it is not a mod, it is a question for the user whether they have acquired such an ability.

So on Avenger Assault, the tanks and power generator health bars show up incorrectly. They're 24/18 and 64/48 and the preview when going to shoot them shows that you'll do zero damage as well. Is there a way to fix this maybe?

sectopods and andromedons, etc can still walk in its square and instantly destroy a 100 hp protect the device, right?

Thanks for investigating! Added a note.

I did some testing, and it seems that beta strike applies a 4x multiplier to the value set in your configs for the hp of the protect device objective. I don't know if this applies to other stuff as well yet. It might be something to add a comment in the configs or take into account in the code. Save reload did not impact the hp.
TePª  [tekijä] 21.10.2023 klo 15.37
Yep, and that makes it harder to find the cases when it doesn't work right
Hjoyn 21.10.2023 klo 15.35
I wasn't using lwotc, but nor did I try a reload. If I run into it again, I'll try a reload, but it's quite difficult to get the game to actually show me the hp of environmental objects like the objective.

Beta strike is weird and does some funky scaling to destructible hp... didn't bother to check further
- Or -
You are using this with LWotC and there are 2 conflicting truths and nobody knows which is used
- Or -
it just sometimes doesn't work and a save&reload fixes it xD

When playing with beta strike, a protect device objective configured to have 24 hp instead had 100 hp. Any idea what's going on with this?
TOMekbok 20.1.2023 klo 10.36
hmm my mistake then. Back when it was installed on my laptop I managed to edit the HP of sacrophagus thingy in an ini file. But now I can't find it
TePª  [tekijä] 20.1.2023 klo 9.08
Not sure what you mean, the XComGame.ini mentioned in the description is a part of the mod, and can be found in the mods' directory.
TOMekbok 20.1.2023 klo 8.28
Ah apologies, meant the game files.

Using the Alternate Mod Launcher (AML), you can see all the configuration files any mod has with it's configuration editor or you can open the mod directory from there.

If for some reason you are NOT using AML, the path is steamapps/workshop/content/268500/2457141938/Config
TOMekbok 19.1.2023 klo 13.52
Hello mod creater, do you happen to know the default route to this ini file?
TePª  [tekijä] 11.11.2021 klo 11.40
No.

Does this work with enemies?. I wanna increase Julians health for a tougher fight

Updated default configuration to include Chosen Avenger Assault values.
EagleClaws17 13.7.2021 klo 2.46
Those were the ones im looking for, thank you very much :D

I'll just repeat here what was mentioned to you in Discord;
LWotC already has a feature similar to this that you can extend to cover other destructibles without the need for this mod. (Also reads in the description).

But for others that might use this for that mission, the necessary Toughness Archetypes for the Chosen Assault are:

ChosenAD_TempAssets.Toughness.Toughness_ArtilleryGenerator
ChosenAD_TempAssets.Toughness.Toughness_BulwarkACV

Is there a possability you would create a version of the mod for the Vanilla Chosen Avenger Assault aswell?
For some reason the revamped version of the Assault just wont work for me (its in LWotC), and the vanilla Assault is just too easy with LWotC, especially in the later game. So basically if id knew the actor names for the Chosen Avenger Assault objectives that'd already be fine, so I could add the override lines in the LWotC configs
onestrongbow GocleCD 30.4.2021 klo 6.30
thanks a lot that's good for all betastrike players
TePª  [tekijä] 30.4.2021 klo 3.32
It would appear that Beta Strike applies after this mod, so it takes the HP values that I apply here and doubles it (or quadruples it in the case of avenger defense).

So from my limited testing that I just did, by configuring the HP values to half (or 1/4th) of the desired number should give you the hp you want in-game when using Beta Strike.
onestrongbow GocleCD 29.4.2021 klo 23.03
the scalling was weird , for example 120 hp or 180 hp on the chosen chambre :D but again , that could be from beta strike alown too
TePª  [tekijä] 29.4.2021 klo 4.59
It didn't change anything at all or the hp values were more than what you configured here?

I personally don't use Beta Strike so I didn't even think of testing with that enabled when I made this, so it could be that it adds the original scaling on top of these numbers.
onestrongbow GocleCD 28.4.2021 klo 21.07
well after some testing on beta strike , the stats weird on beta strike at all :D
onestrongbow GocleCD 15.4.2021 klo 7.47
akright thaks tepa
TePª  [tekijä] 15.4.2021 klo 0.53
Beta Strike is not taken into account, so just configure the HP numbers in the config to whatever feels right to you.
Rockfire ✘ 14.4.2021 klo 18.28
Nice, with this mod ill never be able to alpha strike the chosen sarcophagi on the first turn.
onestrongbow GocleCD 14.4.2021 klo 16.36
how does this interact with beta strike ?
