Thanks to both of you

Sweet, thanks!
Holgast 4. dec. 2022 kl. 5:58
Since you've given permission to adopt the mod, I've forked it for 1.4 .

tidal  [ophavsmand] 25. okt. 2022 kl. 18:38
It's 99% XML, there are just a few snippets of C# that probably need to be recompiled for 1.4.
daz_ian 25. okt. 2022 kl. 11:07
The C# might just be to give a better/worse mood from drinking better/worse quality baiju. Wouldn't surprise me if that's doable these days in XML, even if it means Vanilla Brewing Expanded needs to be made a dependency.

I'm a bit tempted to give it a shot, but no promises.
daz_ian 25. okt. 2022 kl. 10:43
Looks like it's not 100% XML, but I bet this would be fine without the C# changes. Those are described as "C# code for quality-based thoughts written by XeoNovaDan for Vanilla Medieval Expanded."
Chowder 25. okt. 2022 kl. 6:04
Does this mod even need much work done? It's entirely XML isn't it?
tidal  [ophavsmand] 24. okt. 2022 kl. 15:58
tbh, not super interested in updating this one since it's an old commission, someone else can take over if they would like
Ace 23. okt. 2022 kl. 7:33

toradrow777 16. juli 2022 kl. 21:59
Is this compatible with Comigo's Adequate Cooking Expanded?

Is there a way to patch this so it would only require Vanilla Framework rather than VCE? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question; I'm a noob at modding
dabeek 20. apr. 2022 kl. 15:09
I completely understand. Thank you for keeping us posted :)
tidal  [ophavsmand] 19. apr. 2022 kl. 21:00
Sorry, IRL has been really busy recently, I haven't had much time to devote to modding unfortunately. It will get done eventually, things are just rather hectic at the moment.
dabeek 19. apr. 2022 kl. 8:00
@Karmapowered I've had RimWorld mods commissioned before, there's a well-known Discord server called RimWorld Mod Market. They can make a fair bit of money if you mod people's requests.

Anyways, I understand the whole “impatient freeware user annoys developers” dynamic, and as such, I've tried to be as polite as possible. People have been waiting for quite a while for a patch, and we're a bit restless to get some information giving us some idea on how much longer we need to wait.
dabeek 19. apr. 2022 kl. 8:00
This becomes especially anxiety-inducing for people assembling modlist. For all we know, a patch could come out the day after tomorrow, and if I start a new save/modpack tomorrow, it'll be annoying to have to restart through no fault of our own.

You're obviously at no formal obligation to provide any information; providing a free service for mod users is more than enough to qualify as a generous individual. That said, it would still really ease everyone's minds to give some insight into the development process.
Karmapowered 19. apr. 2022 kl. 0:48
I'm subscribed to this thread, so when a good surprise (aka update announcement) happens, it happens. Why not do the same and be patient till then ?

I don't know about you or tidal, but people pestering me usually just makes me want to work slower (and it's not like mods are supposed to be work, you know, of the paid kind).
dabeek 19. apr. 2022 kl. 0:36
IK I'm asking this twice but it *has* been nearly a month.

Can we get a ballpark ETA on Vanilla Plants Expanded — More Plants integration?
tidal  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2022 kl. 15:10
Anytime :)
Karmapowered 16. apr. 2022 kl. 12:41
@tidal Thank you kindly for your time in answering my questions. Thumbs up for the mod and the quality of the support. Please have a nice day/evening.
tidal  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2022 kl. 12:30
@Karmapowered: wouldn't hurt to do. It should still work if you have VE Brewing installed using their itemprocessor, it just won't add a recipe for the processor framework unless you have Universal Fermenter atm. Although, you should be able to add it to a save no problem if you'd like to wait for the update.
Karmapowered 16. apr. 2022 kl. 12:26
@tidal Got it. Thank you for the clarification about the flour and indirectly about the load order.

Would you recommend me waiting for using your mod till it's updated to work with the new processor framework (I'm currently using it in favour of the old one, along with VCE of course) ?
tidal  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2022 kl. 11:57
@Karmapowered: Yeah, I've heard that it doesn't work with the new processor version, although it was built to work with the old one.

The wheat does not replace the flour, it only adds an interim grain that must be ground into VCE's flour after being harvested.
Karmapowered 15. apr. 2022 kl. 14:47
Hello,

may I ask if the update will also include compatibility with "[SYR] Processor Framework", or does it already work in the current version ? It seems the way to go nowadays for brewing purposes in RW. I'd very much like to use your mod along side other mods that depend on the former.

Also, is there a recommended load order, in particular with the Vanilla expanded series since your wheat replaces their flour ?

Thank you very much for creating and sharing your mod with us.
tidal  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2022 kl. 8:01
Update coming soon!
dabeek 21. mar. 2022 kl. 7:00
VPE More Plants integration, please.
force200 4. mar. 2022 kl. 11:02
Another +1 for a compatibility patch for VFE More Plants
daz_ian 25. feb. 2022 kl. 7:42
I think in an ideal compatibility patch, the VPE-More Plants cereals which drop flour would be changed to drop whole grains instead, like wheat has been already, and the duplicate plants this mod adds are patched out in favor of the VPE versions (keeping the mechanics they add for the live plants).
tidal  [ophavsmand] 24. feb. 2022 kl. 13:17
Not sure what kind of patch you're wanting, changing the name of the VE plants or something?
4ydra 23. feb. 2022 kl. 9:21
+1 for a compatibility patch for VFE More Plants
khisanth 10. feb. 2022 kl. 13:04
Will you do a patch to take into account the new VPE-More plants mod which also add Sorghum and Rye?
Threyon 3. dec. 2021 kl. 13:58
Would it be possible to add the auto quality buttons to the fermenters when inserting the mash?
Annabellee 30. nov. 2021 kl. 12:03
@tidal yea but it doesn't work with your mod for some odd reasons
tidal  [ophavsmand] 30. nov. 2021 kl. 11:54
@oichier huh, did that replace Universal Fermenter?
Annabellee 30. nov. 2021 kl. 8:48
will this get a patch for will this get patch for [SYR] Processor Framework https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2633514537

@Revan I can't replicate your error, it might be a mod conflict

@MadMaxine thanks!
MadMaxine 17. nov. 2021 kl. 14:49
Adds some nice flavour to the game, thanks!

It would be cool if rye was not killed off by cold, similar to beets in Vanilla Plants Expanded, to distinguish it from other grain crops. A good mod regardless
tidal  [ophavsmand] 16. nov. 2021 kl. 14:57
@Revan I'll take a look at it, thanks for posting :D
Revan 16. nov. 2021 kl. 11:59

@Vartarhoz: same way canning works in VE Cooking. They’re just preserved vegetables/fish/whatever that you can cook with or eat raw. You can’t build with them.
Vartarhoz 23. sep. 2021 kl. 22:51
How does pickling work? Are pickles count as raw materials?
Lentobombe 18. sep. 2021 kl. 9:58
Yay ! I'll drink to that :fhappy:
tidal  [ophavsmand] 18. sep. 2021 kl. 9:51
@Lentobombe: Thanks, I've pushed an update fixing that. You should find it much more useful now. :)

Additionally, I've added support for Biomes! Chromatic Oasis, ReGrowth: Aspen Forest, and SeedsPlease Lite.
Lentobombe 18. sep. 2021 kl. 8:13
Raksi doesn't work properly I believe. The "Raksi high" buff give +0.1/+0.2 minimum temperature, which is quite low (almost to low to be noticeable, if you ask me ^^')... and given it's a + modifier, it actually make the minimum confortable temperature higher, which is not the desired effect as I understand it.

For example, a pawn with a minimum confortable temperature of -5.7 goes to -5.5 after drinking, which make the pawn more vulnerable to cold.

Apologies if I misunderstand something, the mod is otherwise really good. I now have a special cave expressly for making all these nice alcohols ^^
Lark 13. sep. 2021 kl. 10:31
Thank you as always!
tidal  [ophavsmand] 13. sep. 2021 kl. 10:28
@Lark: That would be a fix on my end I think. I'll take care of it.
Lark 13. sep. 2021 kl. 6:40
Wheat is not growing wild with OwlChemist's fork installed. No debug log, changing load order didn't help. Any ideas?
tidal  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. 2021 kl. 9:45
@Owlchemist: By all means, go for it! :D
Owlchemist 2. sep. 2021 kl. 0:12
Heya - seeds please lite for dev here. I could do the patch on my end but if you'd prefer to maintain control over it and do it on your side that's fine too. Just dropping in to give an FYI that a major release is coming tomorrow that changes the inner structure quite a bit and any existing 3rd party patches may not work right.
tidal  [ophavsmand] 1. sep. 2021 kl. 21:59
@Lark: Thanks, I don't yet have a patch for the Lite fork.
