His mod uses a different method which modifies the wear function itself that should work with modded vehicles. I officially recommend you use his mod instead
Shoryuken Enjoyer 7 mar, 2024 @ 11:33
I made my version. Unlike this mod, which modified durability for each part, I simply made all parts last longer.

I really need something like this. Is there anything similar working in the current version?
Snake 8 dec, 2022 @ 17:17

RCLAC-14 19 nov, 2022 @ 4:23

󠀡󠀡  [skapare] 8 jul, 2022 @ 18:07

Wild 6 mar, 2022 @ 22:59
Doesnt seems to work in 41.66.
Was working fine in 41.65 had the same car for months no problem (tires went from 100 to 90). In the 41.66 in less than 2 week tires went from 100 to 75. Same playstyle.
Becerra9 22 jan, 2022 @ 13:48
Gonna see if I notice a difference with some modded vehicles, like the Commando
Dirty Wizard 21 jan, 2022 @ 16:38
Really fantastic mod, works great for me in b41.65, thanks for your hard work
Wraith analyst 11 jan, 2022 @ 9:57
is it working?
SirPhoenixBlood 30 dec, 2021 @ 10:38

Viper 26 dec, 2021 @ 0:53

Viper 26 dec, 2021 @ 0:51

Becerra9 25 sep, 2021 @ 9:03
Any confirmation that this mod works with the latest build?
van Snejder 26 jul, 2021 @ 8:22
Anyone can confirm this work for 41.52?
Paranoid&Afraid 15 jul, 2021 @ 18:38
Curious how this interacts with certain vehicles from other mods like the Commando or the M113.
Grey_Ghost 12 jun, 2021 @ 15:18
If it modifies the items directly then it's probably not savegame compatible, but if it only changes the lua script that affects them then it should be alright. Pretty sure savegames only get borked when a MOD changes the properties of the items themselves, which causes problems with the ones that already exist in that savegame.
Space_Lettuce_OG 8 jun, 2021 @ 15:16
I'd also like to know if it's safe to add mid-save.
Tzeentch 28 maj, 2021 @ 20:29
save game compatible...?

New mod! Are you sick of destroying your plastic tires? Buy yourself some real American made car parts! Instruction manuals included!

󠀡󠀡  [skapare] 11 apr, 2021 @ 7:46
sorry about that, i thought i already fixed that, i will reupload the fix
Arvalaan 10 apr, 2021 @ 14:13
Errors here too. Hopefully you can fix it since my cars are breaking down way too fast :D
YepThatsMyName 8 apr, 2021 @ 0:12
@ParaNautic I think not. If you ever commited vehicular manslaughter you quickly realise that the hood is only to protect the engine from water and occasional not too heavy objects. Humans are not that thing but yeah hoods could get a little more durability but hey, You only need metal sheets to repair it.
Mysc 6 apr, 2021 @ 19:23
Got errors from downloading tonight, seems numbers in LUA files are using commas to show thousands and it's imploding. e.g. 660,000 instead of 660000.
ParaNautic 6 apr, 2021 @ 15:21
I hope we see hoods getting a little buff.

Update: Tags added. Brakes will be 50x less likely to wear while handbraking. The game doesn't calculate wear for normal braking, I don't think, but if it does, it will still be 50x less likely, as there's only one function for degrading brake condition.

Batteries in real life are not fully shelf stable, and do slowly deplete over a long time. On top of that, car batteries are typically drained slowly even while the car is off because of anti theft systems, CPU, and other things, and usually go dead within two weeks of not being driven. With that said, I don't think the game simulates either of these things unless you picked a preset or increased the "months after the apocalypse" setting.
BeatlJoe 6 apr, 2021 @ 9:52
Nice and necessary.
In the game I have yachts, helicopters, houses fortified like castles, but on the roads s..t. I would like to build an armored car :). All that would be needed is a vehicle, garage, workshop, wire, metal bars, sheet metal, vehicle glass, welding apparatus and the necessary experience. But I lack the experience needed to create a modification. So I just dream, wait and sometimes I play Crossout
Appalachia 6 apr, 2021 @ 8:02
Do the batteries still die after 6 months of sitting still?
path 5 apr, 2021 @ 13:43
this is nice, i can finally own a vehicle without it just melting into the road
ParaNautic 5 apr, 2021 @ 9:07
Its a simple mod, but quite useful.
󠀡󠀡  [skapare] 5 apr, 2021 @ 6:00
When your first mod changing like six lines of code gets on the front page :happycrank:
󠀡󠀡  [skapare] 4 apr, 2021 @ 18:07
I can't make wear rates different for different vehicles. There might be a way to increase the durability of the parts themselves, but that would be up to the authors of the vehicle mods. If they can't do it, then I certainly can't
ParaNautic 4 apr, 2021 @ 17:51
Have you thought about making military vehicles a little bit more robust. if you have have seen and touched a Humvee in real life, that thing is a small tank.
󠀡󠀡  [skapare] 4 apr, 2021 @ 17:34
Eventually I want to add something to get rid of degrading tires when you run over dead bodies. Getting really annoyed by it and it doesn't make much physical sense, especially when you're driving an offroad vehicle with performance tires
(Seeking)Eye 4 apr, 2021 @ 15:28
just as im looking into the mechanics system finally. ill try for a bit as is before i give this a go, but i get the annoyances with the system based on the data given. what i wonder is how different this makes things in real life minutes. I like how slim the mod is as well.
ParaNautic 4 apr, 2021 @ 11:13
nice
󠀡󠀡  [skapare] 3 apr, 2021 @ 9:19
This mod only changes muffler, suspension, and tire wear rates under normal use. Body damage of all kinds are unchanged.
Островський 3 apr, 2021 @ 8:24
Does this also reduce the Styrofoam body type damage?
󠀡󠀡  [skapare] 2 apr, 2021 @ 16:20
Tested in B41 with no errors
