could it be possible to maybe just align the centaur's "transformation point" to where the player is, delete the humanoid part, then have whoever uses the mount just have Djinn's Curse on whenever using it?

Sadly The Wolf Transform Sprite isn't big enough, it's Frame space is 52x90 vs 56x40 of the Player Sprite.
and 82xx126 of the Centaurs.

But half a year later we got 5 mounts ^.^

saw the mention about turning into a centaur and not knowing of any transforming mounts. Hardmode mount item Lilith's Necklace turns you into a wolf with equipment in your mouth.

Any ideas utilizing the Unicorn on a stick? There don't seem to be any mods for it, and it is very similar to the mounts contained here.

Before I tweaked the animations and made her a Zebra Centaur instead ^.~
You want the option to have her Available as a Horse again?

I swear the Black Studded Saddle centaur mount used to not have a zebra lower half, instead having the lower half of the vanilla Black Studded Saddle horse.

I don't know of any mount in Terraria that Transform you, so this can't be done in OG Terraria.
Reguardless ResourcePacks can only change the Sprites look, not functions
(with the addition of Music, Sounds and Texts, but you can't add custom tooltips or descriptions for items that don't have such already.)

However it is something that can be made with TML ~.^
Just don't expect me to be able to make this on my own without assistance with coding... <.<

I like them. you did an amazing job matching their colors. But I got to say I didn't like the blonde centaur. I think she doesn't look "Royal" enough.
and the male centaur really needs nipples.
