Zombies cant hear the radio i am assuming? Dont want the radio going off about a zombie which then alerts that zombie to my presence

I used to love Silent Hill when I was 6 years old. Now I am 8 years old and I love Project Zomboid instead.

Found a way to fix it,equipe the radio in hand,turn it on,close the radio menù and change weapon.So the radio stays on

@Giacco You're doing something wrong then because with normal mode, you don't have to equip it in the hand.

Mod is updated with 2 versions. Normal mode doesn't require the player to equip. Hard mode requires the player to equip. Read the description for more info.

Yeah, most likely it did break after the noiseworks update, cause I remember its sounds functioning normally before. Really hope you update this mod, absolutely loved using it.

Hmmm does this log msg make any sense to you? would it be part of the reason its borked for me? the red box thing in the corner was a higher number like every third of a second last night until I put the radio away..

I'm confused does this mod still work? I stuck it in my offhand turned it on after inserting a battery then turned it up full blast and even when I'm right on the other side of a wall with a zed on the other side I don't really hear anything. I seem to remember the radio static in SH pretty loud will it still work with the game music on?

@Sir.Beast took your idea into consideration regarding meta events. Will be working on something regarding a fog storm meta event and the use of gas masks. Taking ideas from the Toxic Rain and Toxic Fog mods but having more depth.

Hi, I find the radio to be buggy at times. Sometimes it will just stop to emit noise when zombies are in close proximity.

i like this idea becouse it could expand the lore into different items bringing another layer to project zomboid which would be cool to trigger random events through items like a beacon or gas mask for example if u find gas mask random gas event may spawn in the next 3 days so keep the gas mask on you for example, beacons could get supply drops maybe, or just random areas that spawn and disspear that activate a event or somthing more then just alarms in houses or somthing like you accidently trigger a boss or crazy jump zombie or somthing maybe a leecher from l4dead how they suck you in and you need to chop the tenticle that be cool pulls u into a horde gg xD

Unfortunately mods allowing you to attach radios/walkie talkies to belts, packs, etc, still make you equip it to listen. That said, the mod author of better belts said that the devs are planning to add the functionality to use them from belts in the next patch. Can't wait!

Good to hear, I'm wondering if that mod that lets you attach walkie talkies to backpacks could be a work around. Will try and test it, later.

@Papa iot's in the plans, along with taking in considering zombies that are on different floors, however right now I'm a bit busy with IRL stuff so might be a while for me to continue working on PZ mods.

can you make this so i dont have to have the Experimental Walkitalkie acturally equipped in my hand but still active when in my hotbar... sucks having to acturally hold onto the walkie talkie and cant use 2 handed weapons

@MrFlux nah it replaces nothing in vanilla. Only adds a new craftable (or lootable) walkie talkie and detects nearby zombies.

@Michal PZ can be unnerving on it's own. Add mods or tweak some settings and you can have something quite terrifying. Besides... Are zombies so integrated into modern culture that they no longer count as 'horror' anymore? :p

@Michal To be honest it all comes down to play style. I am starting to enjoy playing with Super-sprinters lately, which to be honest, they already put the horror in survival horror, at least for my own taste. My idea with a survival horror mod pack, is creating a hazardous environment that keeps you on your feet, for an added challenge. That includes dark, thick fog, darker nights and low visibility/perception situations (think Darkwood). While this mod is surely a niche and not for everyone, it simply adds a Silent Hill flair to that kind play through.

@Michał First off, I am pretty sure Don't Starve is not survival horror. Second, while PZ is survival horror, this gentleman here is trying to make it more like Silent Hill style horror. It's like game overhauls, think of many rimworld mods. There is sense

The idea for modifications is good, but transforming PZ into survival horror is like transforming Don't Starve into survival horror - No sense :-)
