My thanks (and for everything else also)!

@Praetorian Should work better now

@Bebop Cola same issue here, two saves destroyed (can't reload a save made after placing a spot).
The log is littered with errors about null references for every object on the map, causing Rimworld to spiral into an infinite loop of loading thousands of "buildings" until you kill it with tskmgr.
Could someone report this on his discord?

While I don't seem to have any issues while this mod is active, if I actually place a picnic zone and then save my game, on reload the error log explodes with reports from various other mods. I've seen errors for various Vanilla Expanded mods, and miscellaneous others as well.

I don't mean this ti be a formal bug report or anything, as I've only just now realized this is happening only when I actually place a picnic area zone. Just a heads up in case anyone else strolls by and the dots connect.

Wish someone would make like an actual picnic table

Merry Christmas. I can confirm that this Mod is incompatible with the Altered Carbon Mod: https://www.gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/2196278117/3792631782306220497/?ctp=4#c4032474633923112411 .

@Julia Should be fixed now

When this mod is active, my colonists are unable to feed babies (breastfeeding works, but they cannot be fed by other colonists - they will put the baby on the floor in the middle of feeding, then they'll try again and so on. The baby's hunger need does not go up at all from feeding). I've tested this without any other mods, just the DLCs, Harmony and this mod, so it's definitely caused by this.

@sammyson9 Please see "Reporting Issues" above

i know not if it were some related conflict with another mod however i found this mod to break Pawnmorpher upon reached the transformation stage. (The error was referencing this mod.)

@hottt3 Should be such a setting now
hottt3 17 AGO 2022 a las 7:07
It can't be temperature - I've set it from -50 to 50C. It could be rain though. I'll try and observe.
Anyway, it would be great to have the option to make it function in any weather.
Mlie  [autor] 17 AGO 2022 a las 5:03
@hott3 Perhaps the weather/temperature is not good enough?
hottt3 17 AGO 2022 a las 2:41
I've started a new game, put the picnic area, made it working around-the-clock, put some stools in it, yet the pawns still don't don't use it - they choose to eat somewhere else. Am I doing something wrong?
Mlie  [autor] 13 ABR 2022 a las 23:42
@star You seem to have issues with BabiesAndChildren.
Mlie  [autor] 13 ABR 2022 a las 22:22
@star Can you share the link to the log?
star 13 ABR 2022 a las 17:24
I have not enough sitting spots for all colonists. But I think it shouldn't print red error in log.
The red error means that something is wrong but lack of sitting spots is ok. That's it.
Mlie  [autor] 13 ABR 2022 a las 6:56
@star Did you have enough sitting spots?
star 13 ABR 2022 a las 6:01
Added a bug report. Any idea what it may be?
Argamis 4 FEB 2022 a las 2:11
"Pawns will not picnic if its bad weather" / "If conditions are met" / "there is a 50% chance"
(assuming it is Always Sunny in Rimdelphia) -> less than half of the time they would go outside, so having a super impressive dining room [for bugs to dig up & eat, or dropped pod mechanoids to land on top & smash] is still an absolute necesity.
ELLIOTTCABLE on Discord 27 JUL 2021 a las 13:12
It'd be nice if they used the *beauty value* at the spot where they ate-a-picnic, to yield the value of the mood-boost.

As it stands, eating outside means they lose out on the "Unbelievable Impressive" dining room you've got buried somewhere inside your base, and thus the usual mood-boost that they'd otherwise be walking around with all day (and that the game is balanced around.)

Ideally, it should also definitely not stack with said dining-room moodboost, instead of replacing it. (Even cooler, if implementable, would be *only* taking into account the beauty-value of nature items and plants - i.e. "Nature is Beautiful" and "water is beautiful"-type mods; disallowing you from gaming it by surrounding the picnic-area with statues!)
BasiliskLizard 4 JUN 2021 a las 4:11
I think I have an idea you could implement into this mod. I noticed I trees and shrubs would grow in the picnic area and there was no way to zone it as a clear zone. Could you add a way to make everything but grass clearable in the area so its more of a picnic grass area and not a forest.

Picnic area...outside? Like...without a table?
I don't know if I'm ready for such a wild change O~O;;
Halfelfaedyn 20 MAR 2021 a las 18:49
I love it, thank you!
Ar_Soap 20 MAR 2021 a las 10:17
Great mod idea that has never crossed my mind before. Just got it downloaded now thanks! (Praying to the Rim Gods for no issues as I have an absurd amount of mods currently. But if there are any issues with my roughly 450 mods, then i'll post a log and do some personal tests to get to the bottom of any possible incompatibilities that may arise.) :gk_heart:
Hahkethomemah 20 MAR 2021 a las 9:50
Cool mod. Maybe surrounding beauty requierements would help with balance?
Mlie  [autor] 20 MAR 2021 a las 8:59
@Dragunov3718 As long as you have a normal dining room, they will use that at least half of the time. The thought with the mod was that pawns will picnic in the summer daytime during nice weather. Not that it should be used as a first option for a newly started colony that dont even have tables.
[Dragunov37] 20 MAR 2021 a las 8:43
the problem is to find a balance, if you make a small range, then this will not make sense, and if you make the range wide, then it can be used not as intended
Mlie  [autor] 20 MAR 2021 a las 5:22
@Dragunov3718 Any suggestions are welcome
[Dragunov37] 20 MAR 2021 a las 5:16
Maybe
Mlie  [autor] 20 MAR 2021 a las 5:13
Would a limit per day-setting help?
Mlie  [autor] 20 MAR 2021 a las 5:12
@Dragunov3718 As long as the requirements are filled. So the weather, temperature and time of day matters. If you feel it happens to often perhaps lower the time or temperature span?
[Dragunov37] 20 MAR 2021 a las 3:57
A bit out of balance, I decided to test my theory and made the whole territory a picnic spot, the pawns now do not get the negative effect of eating food on the floor and even get an improvement in their mood all the time.
Mlie  [autor] 19 MAR 2021 a las 12:29
@Black Goat If the conditions are met (temperature, time of day, weather) there is a 50/50 chance that they will eat outside. If there are no regular dining-rooms available at all they will always try to eat at a picnic area, provided that the conditions are met.

berry nice
