i saw another mod that had problems with the config menu mod doing weird stuff and not working right but it also had the same setting via the scroll settings mod and those worked fine. so maybe use the scroll menu (i forget the exact name of that mod but its commonly used) and the bug with the unusable settings should then have a workaround. i had that bug and had to uninstall this since it was useless if i cant enable the mod.

not getting the issue myself and not sure what would cause this issue, so not really sure what you can try at this point other than deleting the save file from the data folder and/or deleting the mod from the mods folder so steam redownloads it

RESET SETTINGS does not change the behaviour. I also don't see anything printed to the debug console about the mod, after I try enabling it. Should the mod be listed at the top of the console? If yes, it is not there for me

Yeah, basically every setting of the mod in the MCM gets reset to its default state when trying to enable it, just as it gets disabled. I'm playing Repentance+, already tried a clean install with only MCM and this mod

weird, only part of the code that disables the mod outside of toggling it in the menu is just checking the save data on run start, do any other settings revert themselves like that?

Any idea why I can't enable the mod in the MCM? Whenever I try to change DISABLED to ENABLED, it switches for a frame and in the next one it's OFF :c

that actually would be easy to add since everything required for it to work is already set up, it basically would just be adding a new floor list and a new menu option, I'll probably update it a bit later

add a "literal mode" that forces you to go through literally every floor, basement 1 & 2, cellar 1 & 2, b-basement 1 & 2 etc etc. there's no practical use to this but it would be really funny

I tried different combinations and could reproduce it that way:
- enabled mods: mcm, minimapAPI, EID, Every Floor Mode
- start a normal run and select completion marks mode in MCM
- exit this run and start a challenge run (pitch black)
- exit the challenge then start a normal run

Before starting the challenge, the completion mark setting is conserved, after starting the challenge too, but starting the normal run after that did reset it to default.

not sure, did some testing today but it didn't ever fail to remember my settings

might want to check the save.dat file in (Steam\steamapps\common\The Binding of Isaac Rebirth\data\everyfloor) after making changes to see if its saving correctly, then close the game and check it again to see if it changed back to default, then again after opening the game (but before continuing/starting a run), then after getting into a run.
being able to know when it actually resets could help

Do you know what could cause MCM settings to reset? For some reason when launching the game and starting the new run, order goes back to default

brother, I want to report that when I enter the boss room, if the door is on the north side, I immediately go to the next floor, and it's bothering me a bit, could you fix that?

If that's not too much work, could the Completion Marks mode include Boiler/Grotto / Future / Last Judgement 's custom floors in the relevant random selection?

yeah steam doesn't always download updates, try unsubscribe, delete the mod, run game to title screen, subscribe, close and re-open game

oh its just the next selection over, like if you're in the config menu and you have the every floor run mode selected and you press right you go to normal start, then press right again for normal end, then chapter mode, then completion marks mode, then completion marks with longer start

Sorry for the constant questions but for the "And if the Completion Marks mode doesn't have enough early floors for you then you can switch it to a version which splits those early floor options into separate levels" where is this option? Or did you mean have the "every chapter mode" on then switch to completion marks mode?

basically if it happens again press ~ and that should open the debug console, if a mod is having issues the game will usually add a red error message in the debug console, which should specify which mod and specifically which line of code is breaking

Sorry don’t know much about checking mod stuff, where can I see if there’s any errors for next time I play? It doesn’t happen every run I’d say it happens every 3rd run or so. I do have other mods but mainly QOL and none that affect boss rush as far as I know and no custom bosses or floors.

yeah I'll reconfigure the earlier floors to allow for a few more items, the boss rush hatch not spawning for you is weird though, the mod just detects if you are in the boss rush room and if the 'ambush' is cleared and then spawns a trapdoor, are there any error messages in the console after this happens? just wondering if a bit of code earlier is breaking somehow and preventing the bit that spawns the trapdoor from running

I'm having trouble figuring out how to correct the config for what I want. I would like a Completion Mark run, but I still want chapters 1-3 to be normal then go into Boss Rush -> Sheol -> Cathedral -> Dark Room, etc
When trying the Completion Mark mode, you only get 3 item rooms before having to fight Mom which can be rough.
Would you know the best config/option?
Also, one bug I've run into a few times is the boss rush hatch doesn't spawn and then I'm locked in the boss rush room. I'm not sure if it's any of my mod conflicts.

anyway to move a floor from the bottom of the list up to a higher spot it should just be a matter of pressing left on it, then up a couple times, then left on it again, repeat

if it's not working like that then you don't have the update, but you can force steam to get it for you by running the game (just to the title screen) while unsubscribed, then close game and resubscribe

had a comment written about how the floor order arrangement isn't that complicated and a brief explanation of how to move a floor up the list without messing up the order of the other floors but then I tested it and sure enough it's not working as intended, not sure when this bug started, will update

Can you make it so it's easier to insert custom floors into a run? The current system, which I can best describe as a rubik's cube, is so bad that I physically cannot insert boiler after dross without going into the save file and editing it.

That's why I said this mod need more difficulty setting for later period. and yes.. for some character like 'The Lost' still very hard if you cant find 'something'
