@Liberian Barman
There shouldn't be any technical problems, since the mod doesn't modify any vanilla items.
Liberian Batman 11. aug. 2023 kl. 17:34
Does this work with neurotrauma?
pogger dogger  [ophavsmand] 3. maj 2023 kl. 15:23
Updated for current patch. I haven't done too much testing but it seemed to work decent enough with bots. I've also removed the paralysis effect since I can't replicate the same slowdown effect.

@Retro enjoyer
Sadly, it cannot revive. As per description, you can only use the defib to cure the Oxygen Low status.

Majoji333 4. dec. 2021 kl. 2:28
thx alot

@Majoji333
Take a look at the sister mod which allows the usage of batteries:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2418273440

Otherwise, you'd have to edit some vanilla items to allow recharging of the defib itself. It's doable, but not really mod-friendly.
Majoji333 3. dec. 2021 kl. 10:57
is there any option to make it rechargeable?
pogger dogger  [ophavsmand] 15. nov. 2021 kl. 9:03
@LoliDam[Hamster]
That's probably because the defibrillator applies a little Internal Damage and Paralysis as a side effect. So yeah, guards will pretty much always see it as an act of hostility.

Also, keep in mind you can freely edit the mod files and use them as you want. You can easily edit out the damage effects.
Nearl 14. nov. 2021 kl. 21:21
when I use this to save people...the guard will come to kill me..why
VelxraTV 1. nov. 2021 kl. 22:04
thank you

@Geronimo
Yup, still working as intended.
VelxraTV 1. nov. 2021 kl. 8:34
is this still working?
JoneK 25. apr. 2021 kl. 13:41
agreed.
pogger dogger  [ophavsmand] 25. apr. 2021 kl. 13:35
@JoneK
Yes, I know this isn't how defibs work, but just consider the fact that we're playing a game where most of your injuries can be fully healed in a matter of 30 seconds by using morphine.
JoneK 25. apr. 2021 kl. 4:42
=) The propepr use of defib that I would develop would be to somebody with a poisoning and after they are nearly dead you could bring the heart back online. (read reset). And then maybe you could administer something milder than full antitoxin. Or that you would have to use it after administering antitoxing too late.. etc.
JoneK 25. apr. 2021 kl. 4:37
This is not how defibs work, it works if you are in asystole your heart rate is wrong, and defibs stop your heart, and then let it reset and start again. Movies portray defibs as these miracle machines that bring you back from death, this is not how they work. Even I don't know how this stuff works properly. To summarize defibs are for ppl who are ill and obese, or somehow over exerted. :steamsad:

This is a cool mod thank you for making

For those interested, a battery-operated version is now available on the Workshop, either through my mod collection or here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2418273440
pogger dogger  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2021 kl. 13:31
Probably tomorrow I'll start working on an alternate version, which will use batteries but instead of instantly recovering all Oxygen it will simply prevent the patient from losing more Oxygen as long as there is battery charge.
ChinchillaTime 5. mar. 2021 kl. 12:36
Possible idea: Make another version which is a copy of the current one, but adds support for batteries, flagging it for potential lack of balance, of course. Just an idea. :)
pogger dogger  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2021 kl. 4:17
@SeaverBeaver
Not at all, feel free to include it.

And yes, I can see how good of a traitor weapon it can be. Originally I wanted to make it be used like a crowbar on doors, with a progress bar, but it seems that overriding Limb behaviour would be required.
SeaverBeaver 4. mar. 2021 kl. 21:05
Oh and also, I'm planning to put my sub in the workshop in a few weeks, when it's all fleshed out. Would you mind if I included this in it? Proper credit and links would go to you of course.
SeaverBeaver 4. mar. 2021 kl. 21:02
God this thing is so nice. Fatality rate has gone down quite a bit since I put these things in cabinets throughout the ship, however I have noticed that they have become a prime target for traitors. I should also note that the art style fits really well with Baro, Nice work!
Patriote 4. mar. 2021 kl. 16:35
This should be perfect, here's a donation!

@Cop Named Tim
Added screenshots, let me know if that's enough.

@ChinchillaTime

I've also thought about making it simply battery-operated, however it could become quite abusable - you could pretty much forget about doing CPR ever and just defib away.

At this point deconstructing and crafting it again costs ~150 - 200 in materials, which IMO isn't especially expensive for a tool that lets you skip CPR.

I do appreciate the input though and I'll certainly think about improving the QOL, maybe lower the severity of Stun and Paralysis etc.
ChinchillaTime 4. mar. 2021 kl. 13:47
Overall though, as someone who mains a medic and from what I've tested on bots via single player, it certainly shows promise.
ChinchillaTime 4. mar. 2021 kl. 13:46
Honestly I think it could be balanced to allow it to use batteries, as that would be realistic to most AEDs and defibrillators we see IRL.
I don't really have any suggestions as to how to balance that per say, but I do think a lot of people would enjoy it a heck of a lot more if it was battery operated.
Ex: Uses batteries, but each use consumes quite a lot of battery power, limiting how many times you can use it before it must be replaced.
Patriote 4. mar. 2021 kl. 13:11
Can we get in-game screenshots please?
Pinekon 4. mar. 2021 kl. 9:14
Thanks! Great item!
