This is somewhat broken (at least for me). During construction, the scaffolding extends three tiles in front, on the road. Once build it looks fine, but during construction it's like a building is about to spawn on the road itself. Traffic just ignores it and just rides through the scaffolding.

Most of Geze's other assets are in that style.

Hey, could you tell me where you got the Chien Qui Fum building? I need something like that and others of similar style, if you would be so kind. Thanks!

It means a lot to hear that! The specular map is all 255 for where the glass is mapped. The "frames" for the glass are separate planes mapped to a lower value. Apparently putting high specular values right next to lower values creates artifacts and the texture looked horrible when I tried to use a normal map for the frames, so I decided to make a mesh for them individually so I could get the appearance I wanted.
I actually left the interior roof out because I didn't think anyone would be able to see it, but apparently I was wrong. I'll add that in and try to reduce tri-count soon. Thanks a lot!

@Kego Great work! Liked and subscribed. You did a great job with the facade. Did you use different specular values for each pane? One tiny suggestion, the ceiling of the interior appears to have a flipped normal issue, so you can see through the ceiling and through the building. May be something worth fixing in an update!

I've released that asset! Let me know what you think.

@Kego Look forward to seeing your asset! I'm excited : )

@Stringer Bell
I totally understand. I figured if I wanted to ever get into modeling my own assets, I might as well start with something I really want to see in my city. I had that exact problem you've described -- multiple photographs with different lenses makes the proportions funky, and I had no luck finding building information online so I resorted to using rough estimations from Google Earth for the building size. I'm done modeling and it won't be an exact replica at all, but I'm hoping it'll be in the spirit of the building when it's done. I'm about ready to start texturing to see how it turns out.

@Kego Thanks for letting me know about the LV building Ginza! I believe the one I made in my collection is the same building and they revamped it. Looks great, I do however have a long list of buildings I want to make, so hopefully I will get to that one at some point. It does look like the kind of model that is hard to make without proper plans / photographs. It's often a pain when you make a building based on photographs taken from an angle and then everything including dimensions look different depending on which picture you are looking at.

I love all your buildings! This one especially looks great at night.

Would you be willing to do the new Ginza Namiki Louis Vuitton store in Tokyo? I want it so bad I'm thinking about having a go at it myself, but getting the mesh right feels like it would be really hard. But looking at this store, I'm hoping you might be up for it.
