I have been deeply disapointed with most of the community workshop levels for this game, but this, this was great. Origonaly made and a very fun level. 12/10

Very original and thematic!
Only gripe is the data collision. In any case, worthy of being part of the base game! :summersun:

I love it, but I honestly hate how the little information blips (the cubes, pyramids, and sphere-thingies) and lightnings can kill you. Aren't those supposed to be for decoration...?

This world looks great, without a doubt. Where it shines the strongest is in the optical illusions created by the start white/black shapes.

But I want to throw in another vote against the quickly moving triangle blocks with collision. While I'm sure there's a pattern to learn, I haven't grasped it the few times I've entered this world in a portal. Most of my deaths have been utterly unexpected - I think I have avoided the blocks, until one smashes into me seemingly out of nowhere, usually at bottom edge of the screen.

As much as I wish I could enjoy this world, at the moment it's intensely frustrating. I've found myself completely avoiding the portals in the main game, as it appears this one will show up every time whether I'm subscribed or not :(

Contrast is very good, I can see stuff. Then little by little white objects appears along with ghost white numbers that have no collision :) Nice, it's confusing so I can't play by shape/color, I gotta understand that it's a 0 or 1 I can go through :)
Awesome. However like other people said, the little moving blocks and triangles are hard to avoid unless you know where they stop.change direction :/

Very enjoyable level, until a collision enabled block suddenly appears right in front of you.

So just a bit more detailed critique - this is one of my favorite maps for sure!
- The fast-moving white blocks maybe shouldn't collide? They're pretty impossible to avoid, but add a cool visual feel. With collision on, death always feels pretty random.

- I died a *lot* in the 2nd region on the triangle things. Eventually I learned the patterns, but it was quite ramp up. This might not be a problem if the first point were addressed so they were the major moving obstacle to avoid.

- I'd love to see more stuff up in the sky as ambient background stuff, just to add to that chaotic/city feel. If you made it move *towards* the player, it could add to a sense of speed.
Aprillation 29. mar. 2014 kl. 4:52
Just looking at the screenshots, it looks very sleek and contrast-y. I like it!
aaronflippo(Flippfly)  [udvikler] 27. mar. 2014 kl. 14:26
Wow, this is quite a masterpiece! Very well done.
Rokin  [ophavsmand] 26. mar. 2014 kl. 10:36
Actually, the only random spawns are the rotating ones and zeroes. I used GE_ExecuteRandomEvent and inside put spawning events for anchored text. I wanted to use more random events and spawns, but I think it works like this too. And there are no powerups in the level :)
EniMal 26. mar. 2014 kl. 10:29
I completely agree with Dolmax. Map is clever and suprising (+it gets quite challenging and different after 4th region) with awesome visual content. Regarding powerups, maybe some emergency portal powerups would be cool (at least on higher regions), but in my opinion others are not really necessary. I like the idea of the map being a portal region in the game! :D
*Vexx* 25. mar. 2014 kl. 11:01
I'm not sure, but I don't think there are pwerups. That being said if that is on purpose I really like it as a feature.
Super Samedi 24. mar. 2014 kl. 17:15
How do you spawn random things ?
Super Samedi 24. mar. 2014 kl. 17:15
super clever :) Well done :)
Rokin  [ophavsmand] 24. mar. 2014 kl. 17:05
Yeah, ones and zeroes are spawned text with a short lifespan (like 0.2). Event randomly spawns one or another on an anchor. Interregion event are rows of those with additional Tri spawn for ones
Super Samedi 24. mar. 2014 kl. 16:12
Also, the interregion thing is amazing ! I have no idea how you did that :P
Your world should be included in the main game as a portal region :)
Super Samedi 24. mar. 2014 kl. 16:06
By the way, how did you do the blinking zeros and ones ? They look awesome ! Are they spawned object that are immediately destroyed ? They seem more complicated than that :P
*Vexx* 24. mar. 2014 kl. 14:48
I immediately loved this! The concept was very well done.:sunjump:
Cosmic Misfit Drew 24. mar. 2014 kl. 10:18
