Should I remake this addon and also separate the april fool models into their own thing? I see a lot of flaws with both the compression, viewmodels, and a bunch of other small details, but I am not sure if I should just leave it as is or rework it.

If you want them completely off just type "mat_specular 0" into console.

on guy-man's visor there is a reflection when it should be black. is there a way to fix this?

maybe gmod will compensate for that in a future update or something

You can make them look more metal with the "mat_specular 1" command in console, but that may look messed up on some maps. Also since the addon is using the original textures of the SFM models + with the source engine's non-inclusion of PBR, it won't look like how metal does in modern games.

before i say this i just wanna say great pm for your first gmod project; it looks amazing!
but are you planning on making the hands and helmets look more like gold and silver?
when i tested the models out it just looked more like a bright yellow and grey
ofc ik nothing about how hard modeling is so idek if you can change that
