the AK series of rifles is for the most part outdated except for the most recent models. it is a workhorse that can be done cheap and gets job done, but to call it "the best gun in the battlefield" is like claiming a Ford Fiesta is technically speaking better than a BMW on the grounds that "everyone can realistically afford one and it still gets you to where you have to go".
full-auto 7.62mm has been gradually phased out of assault rifles across the world over smaller-calliber higher-velocity 5.56mm for very, very good and well documented reasons.

@mischievous The most reliable rifle is the AKM. I know many freinds that there lived were saved because of it. The Ak plataform help liberate many people. It is the best weapon of the battelfield. From a civilian to a modern equipt soldier loves the ak platfom over any american shitty rifle.
