for some reason i cant reverse. i have everything hooked up correctly, i even checked with one of your creations using this microcontroller and the accompanying NJ ECU and on that one it works fine. i have everything hooked up like on that creation

This microcontroller transmission is buggy and outdated probably it doesn't have neutral and when I try manual it doesn't even respond.Please fix this issue.

I dont see where this has a Neutral.. the second you start it, it goes forward directly.

Great Work! Thank you! I have one problem though. Whenever using a/d (reset mode; 100% sensitivity) from my seat for manual gear change the gears just keep going all the way up or down to max or min value, even when the engine is turned off. Its as if the pulse doesnt work. Any ideas?

When I set it to reverse I get a negative RPM and thats it. The boat does not go in reverse. The reverse gearbox is pointing away from engine and it has a on ration of -1;1. What am I missing?

Lol, he's explained it plenty of times. Away from the engine to give you torque, towards the engine gives you RPS (on the load bearing side such as a wheel or propeller)

It's impressive how many tutorials you can make and still explain fuck all about gearboxes and how to set them up.

WHY does the first and last gearbox have to face away from the engine?

This is even in manual mode oddly enough, I tied an indicator light to the gear outputs(The outputs still go to the gearboxes too), and also reading the composite data to show the current gear on a 7 segment display, for some reason no matter what gear shifted to and regardless of the engine RPS it doesn't seem to send any signals to the gears

In automatic mode everything seems to work properly and it does attempt to shift based on RPS, but it's just opening/closing the clutch as none of the gears are being activated just like manual mode. For some reason those clutch bool outputs are just not being sent

Might be too much of a difference between your gears, meaning it’s trying to change up and then looses too much rps and then try’s to change down again,

So for some reason when the gears are changed, I'm getting a readout that they're changing, can hear they are, but they aren't being given an on signal for some reason?

=\ Everyone makes BLEH transmissions in this game, including you, but a great many ppl copy your BLEH transmissions. I tried to make a video about gearboxes and had technical issues with my audio and forgot to get a spreadsheet off screen before showing some micro controllers. To really do transmissions right in this game you need to have mastered the gear ratio tables and how to combine them to get a good set of ratios. I can make excellent transmissions for 2,4, 6, and even 8 gears. The two orange trucks I collected only have 3 gearboxes but 4 gears and reverse, The red semi-tractor has 8 gears and reverse but only 4 gearboxes. Dude, please let me teach you this dark art so I don't have to rebuild every drivetrain I come across.

Composite number 12 still isn't being given by anything from what I can tell. My gearboxes break almost instantly as the clutch just sits at 1

There is no neutral gear as this is managed by a clutch. I havnt had any issues from testing myself but will have a look and see if gears are not working, Be sure to be using the latest version of this as it wont update if you already placed it on your creation.

Dunno if you fixed Autonomous157's earlier issue but I'm getting the exact same. up/down seems to do nothing in either mode. Automatic at least goes through the gears properly.

Out of curiosity, should the car not start in neutral and only engage the clutch when you shift into first gear?

Hi, im trying to convert two switches on a composite panel to switch from forward and reverse, as well as a high and low gear on a ship, not using the 2-4th gearboxes. My attempts to imitate the up/down from the helm to a output that the transmission controller can read after being passed through your modular engine controller have all failed. i was wondering if you could help with this at all? maybe just providing some insight on how the transmission controller works as im cant figure it out

When it starts it goes forward then does not supply power i have no idea what is happening and I can't put it in gear the up down keys do not work but I am using the gear v2 microcontroller

Wait had to do some doctoring on the MC but i got it to work. Since I was using a different control scheme than what the MC wanted it wouldn't let me switch gears. Other than that it works perfectly

Yeah i've tried putting it into auto but it still won't work. I even tried using the one on your truck but that one won't work either.

So I added the transmission to my vehicle and wired it up. It only goes in reverse gear even though I said I had extra gears. (Gears to make boat go faster don't work). Not only do they not work ingame, but the instrument panel also says that they don't switch either.

Use up down key while using seat to change gears up or down.

Il look into it, I added a feature to only change gears once the ecu is on and also to only change gears up if not at max and only change gears down in not at 0 automatically

Not sure what was changed between v1 and v2 but changing nothing but the controller from v1 to v2 the engine no longer runs correctly. Revs up and down and afr wont stay stable even at idle.
